Overview

Alyson B. Moadel-Robblee, Ph.D.
HEAD: Alyson B. Moadel-Robblee, Ph.D.

Health behaviors, lifestyle, environment, policy, and other social-ecological factors play critical roles in disease prevention and control. Access to evidence-based interventions and high quality health information and care can provide a foundation for eliminating health disparities. Our mission is to:

  1. Advance understanding of behavioral, nutritional, and environmental factors, as well as policies that affect physical health and psychosocial well-being.
  2. Increase dissemination and implementation of effective approaches for improving care at the local and global level, with emphasis on promoting health equity.

HBRIS Faculty: The academic/professional backgrounds of our multidisciplinary faculty include anthropology, business administration, epidemiology, health education, medicine, nutrition-dietetics and psychology (clinical health, community).
