<p>Gerard J. Igel, MD, is Medical Director, Pediatrics, Riverdale and Assistant Clinical Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus is pediatric primary care with a special focus on chronic illness, behavioral disorders and developmental disorders.</p><p>After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1977, Dr. Igel earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University in 1981. He then completed a pediatric internship and residency at Jacobi Medical Center in 1984.</p><p>Dr. Igel was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society in recognition of Outstanding Achievement in the Teaching of Medical Students in 2014.</p>

<p>Caitlin Gilman, MD, MPH, is an Attending Physician at Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore, specializing in providing pediatric primary care. In addition to this, Dr. Gilman has interests in the prevention of obesity, diabetes, and other related complications through early development of healthy lifestyles. She is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. </p><p>In 2008, Dr. Gilman received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and in Sociology and Anthropology at Lehigh University. Following this, in 2010, she received her Master of Public Health at New York University Steinhardt School. <p><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Kevin Fiori MD, MPH, MSc is a general pediatrician, researcher and educator. &nbsp;He is an Associate Professor in both the Division of Academic General Pediatrics and Department of Family and Social Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.&nbsp; He is the Vice Chair for Community Health &amp; Engagement and inaugural Division Chief for the Division of Community and Population Health within the Department of Pediatrics, the Executive Director, Community Health Worker Institute at Montefiore and the Director-Social Determinants of Health at the Office of Community &amp; Population Health, Montefiore Health System.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">In 2002, he participated in the Master&rsquo;s International Program combining graduate work at Boston University School of Public Health and Peace Corps service. &nbsp;As a Peace Corps health specialist Volunteer in Togo, West Africa from 2003-2007, he collaborated on multiple community based health initiatives. &nbsp;In 2004, he co-founded an international non-governmental organization, called Integrate Health, for which he currently serves as Senior Adviser and Director of its embedded research unit, the Community Health Systems Lab. Integrate Health works in collaboration with the Togolese Ministry of Health to improve access and quality of primary health care. He is primary investigator on multiple ongoing implementation research studies in Togo and the Bronx focused on improving health service delivery, especially integration of community health workers. &nbsp;He was a Fellow in New York State&rsquo;s Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program.&nbsp; His domestic research focuses on integrating social needs screening and community health workers outreach in Bronx primary care centers.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10.5pt; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Dr. Fiori&rsquo;s teaching activities focus on global health, clinical pediatrics, health service delivery, and social medicine. &nbsp;He co-directs the Global Health Elective course for the Department of Pediatrics. &nbsp;He is an advisory board member for the Global Health Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.</span></p>

<p>Kevin Fiori, MD, MPH, is an Attending Physician in the Division of Academic General Pediatrics at Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). In 2003, Dr. Fiori received his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University School of Public Health. He received his Doctor of Medicine in 2012 from University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Fiori completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and became Chief Resident in social pediatrics in 2015. <p>Lynn Davidson, MD, graduated from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai College and completed her residency at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Neurodevelopmental Disabilities and Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics.</p>
<p>Dr. Davidson has been a clinician-educator at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital At Montefiore for over two decades. In that capacity she has played an active role in teaching medical students and residents. She provides comprehensive, coordinated and appropriate care to a large population of multi-ethnic patients. She also provides co-located neurodevelopmental-behavioral consultations to the Family Care Center practice.</p>
<p>Dr. Davidson has particular interest in the successful transition of youth with special health care needs to the adult medical world. She is involved in education, published research, and quality improvement transition initiatives both locally and nationally. These included:</p>

<p>Amy S. Ciner, MD, is an attending physician at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein (CHAM) and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Ciner&rsquo;s clinical focus is on general pediatrics and medical student and resident education.</p><p>In 1997, Dr. Ciner received her Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College, Columbia University. She then pursued her medical degree at New York Medical College, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2002. For her postgraduate training, Dr. Ciner came to CHAM and Einstein, completing her pediatrics internship and residency in 2005.</p><p>Dr. Ciner&rsquo;s research interests include pediatric nutrition and wellness and medical education. She currently has several book chapters in development.</p><p>Dr. Ciner is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Pediatric Association.</p>

Biography

<p>Sandra Braganza, MD, MPH, is Program Director, Social Pediatrics Program at Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore and Associate Professor, Pediatrics and Associate Professor, Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus is in the primary care of children and adolescents addressing their social and emotional needs.</p><p>In 1994, Dr. Braganza received her Bachelor of Arts from New York University. She pursued her medical education at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1998. Dr. Braganza came to Einstein for her postdoctoral training, completing her pediatric internship in 1999 and her pediatric residency in 2002, taking on the role of Chief Resident in her final year. In 2006, she completed her Master of Public HEalth at Columbia University, Mailman School of Public Health.</p><p>Dr. Braganza&rsquo;s research focuses on medical education and addressing the social determinants of health in urban low-income communities. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, review papers, abstracts, and local and national invited presentations. She is a reviewer for several journals and working on several publications.</p><p>Dr. Braganza is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the National Hispanic Medical Association and the Ambulatory Pediatric Association.</p>

<p>Dr. Bloomfield provides primary care as an attending in Montefiore&rsquo;s Family Care Center. She precepts residents and is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the general academic pediatric curriculum at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Bloomfield is the co-author of two chapters in the American Academy of Pediatrics textbook <em>Primary Pediatric Care</em>.</p><p>Dr. Bloomfield&rsquo;s involvement in the assessment and treatment of children with social and emotional health conditions began in 2007, when she became the team leader at Montefiore for the Reaching Children Initiative Learning Collaboration with the National Institute of Child Health Quality (NICH-Q). She was a co-presenter of her division&rsquo;s activities at NICH-Q&rsquo;s national meeting in 2008. Since then she has collaborated on a citywide initiative to encourage parents to report on their child&rsquo;s development via an Internet-based system. Her research involves assessing parents&rsquo; satisfaction with this modality.</p><p>Dr. Bloomfield was recently selected to become a trainer/educator in the New York State Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for Primary Care (CAP-PC) program. This program&rsquo;s goal is to educate pediatricians and increase their ability to treat children with mental health disorders.</p>

<p><strong>I trained in Gastroenterology and Nutrition then I returned to the practice of General Pediatrics and retained an&nbsp;interest in non-procedural gastroenterology. This suits my many interests.&nbsp; </strong></p>

<p><strong>I&nbsp;have been&nbsp;a panel member of the FDA's Office of Orphan Product Development and&nbsp;I also act as a reviewer for all 3 major Pediatric journals, </strong><strong>Pediatrics, JAMA pediatrics, and the Journal of Pediatrics.&nbsp; I am&nbsp;and Editorial Board member for the AAP publication, Pediatrics in Review. &nbsp;</strong></p>
<p><strong>I teach pediatric residents and medical students several times a&nbsp;week. This is a source of deep and increasing satisfaction for me. </strong></p>
<p><strong>While being a physician is intellectually satisfying I view it fundamentally&nbsp;as a job of service to patients,&nbsp;students,&nbsp;resident trainees, and&nbsp;to my superb peers here.&nbsp;</strong></p>

Biography

<p>Peter F. Belamarich, MD, is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Attending Physician at Montefiore&rsquo;s Comprehensive Family Care Center. His clinical focus is on the care of both well-children and the care of children with chronic medical problems.</p><p>Dr. Belamarich earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1979 from Boston University, followed by his Doctor of Medicine at the same institution in 1983. He started his postdoctoral training at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, completing an internship and residency in 1985, and becoming Chief Resident of Pediatrics from 1985 to 1986. In 1989, he completed a three-year fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Columbia University.</p><p>Dr. Belamarich&rsquo;s current research interest focuses on optimizing those elements of the well-child visit that offer the greatest health benefits to children. He has presented his work nationally and internationally, and his work has been published in many prominent journals.</p><p>Since 2009, Dr. Belamarich has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor. He is board certified, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Ambulatory Pediatric Association.</p>

<p>Prior to entering Einstein, Dr. Eleanor Bathory was a high school chemistry teacher. She has an extensive history of volunteering her time for community health related activities. During medical school this included the Einstein&nbsp;Youth Violence Prevention Program&nbsp;and&nbsp;the Einstein Community Health Organization Free Clinic. After the first year at Einstein she spent the summer in Guatemala learning Spanish and volunteering in community health settings. She has worked on a research project in the Division of Adolescent Medicine on the topic of motivational interviewing and did undergraduate research on RNA-DNA hybrids that resulted in a publication.&nbsp;</p>
