This research aims to study the extent/degree of full implementation of a centralized screening unit for lung cancer screening, to assess its impact on lung cancer screening referral rates in minoritized and low-income communities, and to determine the “success” of the screening unit as measured by the extent of down-staging of lung cancer tumor stage at diagnosis. |

PREVENTABLE is a multi-center, randomized, parallel-group, placebo-controlled superiority study among community-dwelling older adults without cardiovascular disease (CVD) or dementia, with the aim of demonstrating the benefit of statins for reducing the primary composite of death, dementia, and persistent disability and secondary composites including mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and cardiovascular events. |
