Overview

The New York City Research and Improvement Networking Group (NYC RING) is a practice-based research network (PBRN) supported by the Department of Family and Social Medicine and the Institute for Clinical and Translational Research at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center.

Actively involving primary care practices in all research process phases enhances the relevance and quality of research while significantly improving the translation of results into patient care. By building relationships, sharing resources, and engaging our community, NYC RING aims to provide researchers and practices with the tools they need to effectively investigate clinical questions that will have a real impact on the health of individuals, families, and communities here in the Bronx.

Based in the Bronx since 2003, NYC RING continues its mission to support the research that is most important and relevant to our community.

Our Partner Sites

Our growing network includes over 35 partner practices throughout the Bronx and lower Westchester County. These practices are comprised of a diverse spectrum of provider specialties within primary care, including family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics/gynecology. Our network practices include federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), faculty practices, and dedicated teaching sites for medical students and residents, with substantial proportions of uninsured or publicly insured patients.
