<p>Ana Y. Valdivia, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Diagnostic Radiology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Valdivia&rsquo;s clinical focus involves all aspects of nuclear medicine, with a particular focus on positron emission tomography&ndash;computed tomography (PET-CT).</p><p>After receiving her Bachelor of Science in chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico in 1990, Dr. Valdivia attended Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1994. She completed her internal medicine residency at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 1997, followed by her nuclear medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in 1999.</p><p>Dr. Valdivia&rsquo;s research involves PET-CT, frequently focusing on brain imaging. She has shared her research through peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, abstracts, exhibits, and oral and poster presentations. She is also an invited reviewer for the International Journal of Surgery.</p><p>Dr. Valdivia is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. <p>Renee M. Moadel, MD, MSc, is an Attending Physician in the Department of Radiology and an Assistant Professor of Nuclear Medicine and Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Moadel has been with Montefiore since 2002, with a clinical focus on therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals in oncology and pediatric nuclear medicine, and a particular interest in the therapy of thyroid, liver, and prostate cancers.</p><p>Dr. Moadel received her Doctor of Medicine in 1996 and Master of Clinical Research in 2007 at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. From 1996 to 2001, Dr. Moadel completed her postgraduate training with a residency in medicine and nuclear medicine, a chief residency in nuclear medicine, and a fellowship in nuclear medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.</p><p>In addition to sarcoma, pulmonary embolism, and infection imaging, Dr. Moadel&rsquo;s research focuses on engineering-driven medicine and the use of Y-90 microsphere therapy (a minimally evasive procedure combining embolization and radiation) for treating liver cancers. <p>Kwang J. Chun, MD, is an Attending Physician in the Department of Radiology and Division of Nuclear Medicine at Montefiore and an Associate Professor of Radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She has extensive expertise in the application of nuclear medicine methodologies. Her research and clinical practice focus on improving therapeutic and diagnostic outcomes. </p><p>Chun has authored and coauthored numerous publications and review articles in nuclear medicine journals. Her recent research focuses on bone health, for osteoporosis and osteoarthritis early intervention, and gastroenterology. </p><p>Dr. Chun attended Seoul National University, graduating as Doctor of Medicine from the College of Medicine in 1968. She subsequently completed her residency and served as Chief Resident at Seoul National University Hospital's Internal Medicine Department. Between 1972 and 1977, she completed her internship, residency and fellowship at Brooklyn Medical Center, Mount Sinai Hospital, St. Luke&rsquo;s Hospital Center's Nuclear Medicine Department, and Albert Einstein College of Medicine's Nuclear Medicine Department. She has served as an Attending Physician with teaching responsibilities at Montefiore and the Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine since 1977. </p><p>Dr. Chun is board certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. </p>
