<p>Rodney L. Wright, MD, MSc, is Director, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Wakefield Campus at Montefiore and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Wright&rsquo;s clinical interests include HIV during pregnancy, infectious diseases, sexually transmitted infections, global women&rsquo;s health and maternal fetal medicine.</p><p>After receiving his Bachelor of Arts in biology and psychology from Emory University, Dr. Wright went on to the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine. His post graduate training began at the University of California, Irvine, where he completed a four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology. Several years later, Dr. Wright pursued a three-year fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at Montefiore-Einstein. After completing this, he continued his education at Einstein, earning his Master of Science in clinical research methods.</p><p>Following his clinical interests, Dr. Wright&rsquo;s research focuses on HIV during pregnancy, prevention of perinatal HIV transmission, cervical dysplasia, HPV and global women&rsquo;s health. He&rsquo;s shared his research and expertise through many peer-reviewed journals, abstracts and invited presentations. He currently serves on the US Department of Health and Human Services Panel on Treatment of Pregnant Women with HIV Infection and Prevention of Perinatal Transmission.</p><p>An active member within the community, Dr. Wright is a member of the New York State AIDS Advisory Council and the New York State Taskforce on Maternal Mortality. He was awarded the Bronx County Medical Society &ldquo;Peer to Peer&rdquo; Excellence in Medicine Award. Dr. Wright received the New York State Commissioner of Health Commissioner&rsquo;s Special Recognition Award in recognition of his work as co-chair of the New York State Perinatal HIV Guidelines Committee and service to the New York State Ending the Epidemic (AIDS) Task Force. Dr. Wright is board certified in both Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of several professional organizations including the New York Obstetrical Society, the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.</p>

<p>Diana S Wolfe, MD MPH is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health, Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. &nbsp;She is Associate Program Director of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program. &nbsp;</p>
<p>She established the MFM Cardiology Joint Program in 2015&nbsp;in response to the rising contribution of cardiovascular conditions to pregnancy related morbidity and mortality.&nbsp;&nbsp;The aim was to establish a multidisciplinary program to optimize the care of high-risk pregnant patients with known or suspected cardiac disease, as there is a real potential for communication gaps when patients are seen separately in contrast with parallel visits by different specialists.&nbsp;&nbsp;Patients are at all stages of their reproductive lives including preconception, pregnancy and postpartum.&nbsp;&nbsp;She works closely with the department of Cardiology both in the outpatient and inpatient setting to establish delivery plans and continued care postpartum.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>In addition,&nbsp;Dr. Wolfe has worked in global health,&nbsp;her most recent work in Africa was in Butare (Huye), Rwanda, serving as MFM subspecialist in the Human Resources for Health (HRH) program, directed by the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) of Rwanda.&nbsp; Dr. Wolfe was the first MFM subspecialist from Einstein to commence HRH at CHUB, Butare, Rwanda.&nbsp;&nbsp;Her interest began&nbsp;locally when she volunteered as a bilingual pregnancy counselor in Escondido, California.&nbsp; She then started working in Africa in 1998 where she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, West Africa.&nbsp; She was part of the national Maternal and Child Health Program.&nbsp; She worked as health educator in a remote village, Karangasso, located in the Sikasso region, with a birth assistant to develop health education for 7 local villages on subjects such as infant nutrition, prenatal care, family planning, and developing community health committees for each village. &nbsp;She also initiated a birth assistant training program with the head nurse of the nearest local health center that included training subjects such as management of postpartum hemorrhage, contraception, and first steps in obstetric emergencies.&nbsp;&nbsp;During medical school, Dr. Wolfe worked on &ldquo;the Assessment of the Knowledge of Women&rsquo;s Health,&rdquo; a project that initiated with the Bedoin community of Israel.&nbsp; She implemented the same pre and post-training test to the 7 Malian villages where she served in the Peace Corps as well as to several villages in the Peruvian Amazon.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Diana S. Wolfe, MD, MPH, FACOG is Attending Physician at Montefiore and Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Wolfe&rsquo;s clinical focus is on maternal and fetal medicine (MFM). In 2015, she established the MFM-Cardiology Joint Program at Montefiore&mdash;a multidisciplinary program to reduce morbidity and prevent mortality in expecting mothers with cardiovascular disease by optimizing the care of high-risk pregnant patients.</p><p>From 1988 to 1993, Dr. Wolfe pursued her Bachelor of Science in biology through the University of California San Diego, participating in the Education Abroad Program with Universita di Bologna, Italy from 1990 through 1991. In 1996 she began studies at University of California, Berkeley focusing on maternal child health, earning her Master of Public Health in 1998. After two years serving in the health extension of the Child Health Survival Program with the Peace Corps in Mali, Dr. Wolfe pursued her Doctor of Medicine at Ben Gurion University, Israel, receiving her degree in 2004.</p><p>Building on her clinical focus, Dr. Wolfe&rsquo;s research investigates cardio-obstetrics, preconception health, maternal morbidity and contraception in high risk women. She has published her research in several reviewed journals, book chapters and review articles.</p><p>Dr. Wolfe is board certified and is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine. <p>Susan Klugman, MD, FACOG, FACMG, is Director, Reproductive and Medical Genetics, Program Director, Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency and Professor, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health and Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus is on the evaluation of patients and families at risk for genetic disorders including those patients at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes. She also provides evaluations during pregnancy or preconception, including prenatal diagnosis and consultation for patients undergoing assisted reproductive technologies.</p><p>After completing her Bachelor of Science at Cornell University in 1984, Dr. Klugman attended New York University School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1988. She pursued her postdoctoral training at Montefiore Einstein and Jacobi Medical Center, completing her obstetrics and gynecology residency in 1992 and serving as administrative chief resident in her final year. In 2002, she continued her medical training at Montefiore Einstein in medical genetics, completing the program in 2004.</p><p>Dr. Klugman&rsquo;s research focuses on novel methods for prenatal screening, testing and diagnosis as well as the assessment of new modalities for the diagnosis and treatment of hereditary cancer syndromes. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and other print publications. She was the Reproductive Genetics Editor for <em>Genetics in Medicine</em> and has been a reviewer for journals such as the <em>American Journal of Medical Genetics, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Prenatal Diagnosis</em>. Dr. Klugman has spoken extensively at regional and national medical conferences, including more than 70 international and national invited presentations.</p><p>Dr. Klugman has served on the board of the American College of Medical Genetics since 2015 and will be President from 2023 to 2025. She has completed six-year terms on both the Committee on Genetics of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Residency Review Committee for Medical Genetics for the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. <p>Georgios Doulaveris, MD, FACOG, is Associate Program Director, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program and Assistant Professor, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at Montefiore Einstein. He specializes in detailed fetal ultrasound for the diagnosis and treatment of fetal malformations, fetal therapy and surgery, prenatal screening for aneuploidy, genetic diagnostic procedures (chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis), diagnosis and management of fetal growth restriction, multiple gestations and placenta accreta spectrum. He also serves as Director of the Ultrasound Education Program for obstetrics &amp; gynecology residents and as Director of Research of the Fetal Medicine &amp; Ultrasound Division.</p>
<p>Dr. Doulaveris earned his Doctor of Medicine in 2010 from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School in Athens, Greece. He then came to Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian to participate in a research fellowship in obstetrics &amp; gynecology, completing it in 2013. Following this, Dr. Doulaveris completed his residency in obstetrics &amp; gynecology in 2017 at Montefiore Einstein, being an Administrative Chief Resident during his last year of residency. <p>Pe&rsquo;er Dar, MD, is Director of Fetal Medicine and OBGYN Ultrasound at Montefiore and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Dar&rsquo;s clinical focus is on the care of women who carry babies with disorders and medical conditions that may affect their lives and he leads the Fetal Medicine and Surgery Team at Montefiore. He particularly specializes in diagnosis and management of medical and structural abnormalities in the fetus and in complicated twin and triplet pregnancies. His expertise include performing detailed ultrasound examination of the fetus including fetal echocardiography (scanning of the fetal heart) and fetal neurosonography (scanning of the fetal brain) as well as performing in-utero fetal surgeries such as fetoscopic laser surgery for monochorionic twins with twin to twin transfusion syndrome, in-utero blood transfusion for fetuses with anemia and in-utero drainage and shunt procedures. Dr. Dar is also experienced in performing amniocentesis, chorionic villous sampling (CVS) and multifetal selective reduction for multiple pregnancies.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Dr. Dar completed his Doctor of Medicine from Tel-Aviv University in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1986. He started his postgraduate education at Assaf Harofe Medical Center, Tel-Aviv University, with a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a specialty in high-risk pregnancies from 1992 through 1998. He then came to Montefiore-Einstein, completing a two-year fellowship in medical and reproductive genetics. After spending two years as an attending-specialist in the field of prenatal diagnosis he completed in 2005 three-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Montefiore-Einstein. In 2007, he completed additional training in fetal surgery in world-known fetal surgery centers in France and Belgium. &nbsp;</p><p>Dr. Dar is very active in research and he is currently the principal investigator in many studies including international multicenter studies. His research focus is in fetal medicine and surgery, non-invasive prenatal screening and placenta accreta spectrum. He has shared his work in many peer-reviewed journals, textbook chapters, abstracts and invited presentations. He is also a reviewer for national and international journals including the <em>American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Plos one and Prenatal Diagnosis. </em></p><p>Dr. Dar is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Clinical Genetics and is a member of several professional societies including the Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been regularly listed among Castle Connolly Top Doctors for obstetrics and gynecology in the New York Metro area.</p>

<p>Edith D. Gurewitsch Allen, MD, MBA, MEd, is Professor and Interim Chair, Obstetrics, Gynecology &amp; Women&rsquo;s Health and Executive Vice Chair, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women's Health Clinical Services at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Gurewitsch Allen embraces her role as director, mentor and advocate of the Department&rsquo;s faculty and administrators, championing the delivery of exceptional quality reproductive health care for underserved women and pregnant people of the Bronx. She also guides and facilitates the faculty&rsquo;s professional development to ensure the Department&rsquo;s continued world-renowned professional education and training of the future generation of women&rsquo;s health care providers in general Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and every subspecialty.
</p><p>Dr. Gurewitsch Allen was in the first class that accepted women at Columbia College. She earned her medical degree from the College of Physicians &amp; Surgeons at Columbia University, then completed her residency in Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at The New York Hospital Cornell University Medical Center. From there, she joined the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1997, where she continued as a full-time faculty member in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine until 2018, when she was recruited to be Executive Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs for Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at Montefiore. Further developing her teaching and administrative skills, Dr. Gurewitsch Allen earned her Masters of Education of Health Professionals from Johns Hopkins School of Education, focusing on evaluation of best educational practices, competency assessment, and outcomes measures. She also completed her Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management at Johns Hopkins University&rsquo;s Carey Business School.
</p><p>Dr. Gurewitsch Allen&rsquo;s clinical research has been devoted to shoulder dystocia and its relationship to obstetric brachial plexus injury. Previously supported from 2004-2007 by an R-49 grant from the CDC National Center for Injury Prevention and Control as Principal Investigator of a research program entitled Preventing Unintentional Mechanical Birth Injury, she focused on examining mechanisms of injury, objectively evaluating obstetrical maneuvers, educating physicians-in-training through simulated complicated births and educating physicians in patient safety and injury prevention through continuing medical education. She is currently funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality for a 5-year, $2M R-18 grant to study the optimal methods for training and assessing provider competency in managing shoulder dystocia using simulation. Dr. Gurewitsch Allen has attained national and international recognition in this area, sharing her work through more than 135 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, invited oral presentations and internet-based presentations.
