<p>Dr. Benenson specializes in developmental-behavioral pediatrics, with an emphasis on children with behavioral problems such as school issues, temper tantrums, elimination disorders and feeding problems. A faculty member at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she is actively involved in training developmental-behavioral fellows, pediatric residents and medical students. Her particular interests include the interaction of the school and medical systems. She serves on the training committee for Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics, and she has been on other educational committees in the past. Dr. Benenson has also participated in national meetings for Maternal and Child Health Bureau fellows and in the Consensus Conference to develop Guidelines for Adolescent Depression in Primary Care, and she has given multiple invited talks and grand rounds on behavioral topics.</p>
