<p>Monica Foreman-Hyacinthe, MD, is Medical Site Director, Scarsdale Women's Center and Assistant Professor, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus centers on general obstetrics and gynecology.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in psychobiology from Yale University in 1984, Dr. Foreman-Hyacinthe earned her Doctor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1988. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1992.</p><p>Dr. Foreman-Hyacinthe is a Diplomate of The American Board of Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a member of the National Medical Association. In 2022, Dr. Foreman-Hyacinthe was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society for excellence in the teaching of medical students. <p>Georgios Doulaveris, MD, FACOG, is Associate Program Director, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program and Assistant Professor, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at Montefiore Einstein. He specializes in detailed fetal ultrasound for the diagnosis and treatment of fetal malformations, fetal therapy and surgery, prenatal screening for aneuploidy, genetic diagnostic procedures (chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis), diagnosis and management of fetal growth restriction, multiple gestations and placenta accreta spectrum. He also serves as Director of the Ultrasound Education Program for obstetrics &amp; gynecology residents and as Director of Research of the Fetal Medicine &amp; Ultrasound Division.</p>
<p>Dr. Doulaveris earned his Doctor of Medicine in 2010 from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School in Athens, Greece. He then came to Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian to participate in a research fellowship in obstetrics &amp; gynecology, completing it in 2013. Following this, Dr. Doulaveris completed his residency in obstetrics &amp; gynecology in 2017 at Montefiore Einstein, being an Administrative Chief Resident during his last year of residency. He stayed at Montefiore Einstein to participate in a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship, completing it in 2020.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Building on his clinical focus, Dr. Doulaveris's research focuses on fetal therapy and surgery, prenatal screening for aneuploidy, prenatal diagnosis and management of fetal growth restriction, multiple gestations and placenta accreta spectrum. He has presented his work in oral and poster abstracts in national and international meetings as well as in peer-reviewed journals.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Dr. Doulaveris is board certified in Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and societies, including the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the Fetal Medicine Foundation. Dr. Doulaveris was named the World Congress 2020 Digital Ambassador by the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. <p>Pe&rsquo;er Dar, MD, is Director of Fetal Medicine and OBGYN Ultrasound at Montefiore and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Dar&rsquo;s clinical focus is on the care of women who carry babies with disorders and medical conditions that may affect their lives and he leads the Fetal Medicine and Surgery Team at Montefiore. He particularly specializes in diagnosis and management of medical and structural abnormalities in the fetus and in complicated twin and triplet pregnancies. His expertise include performing detailed ultrasound examination of the fetus including fetal echocardiography (scanning of the fetal heart) and fetal neurosonography (scanning of the fetal brain) as well as performing in-utero fetal surgeries such as fetoscopic laser surgery for monochorionic twins with twin to twin transfusion syndrome, in-utero blood transfusion for fetuses with anemia and in-utero drainage and shunt procedures. Dr. Dar is also experienced in performing amniocentesis, chorionic villous sampling (CVS) and multifetal selective reduction for multiple pregnancies.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Dr. Dar completed his Doctor of Medicine from Tel-Aviv University in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1986. He started his postgraduate education at Assaf Harofe Medical Center, Tel-Aviv University, with a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a specialty in high-risk pregnancies from 1992 through 1998. He then came to Montefiore-Einstein, completing a two-year fellowship in medical and reproductive genetics. After spending two years as an attending-specialist in the field of prenatal diagnosis he completed in 2005 three-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Montefiore-Einstein. In 2007, he completed additional training in fetal surgery in world-known fetal surgery centers in France and Belgium. &nbsp;</p><p>Dr. Dar is very active in research and he is currently the principal investigator in many studies including international multicenter studies. His research focus is in fetal medicine and surgery, non-invasive prenatal screening and placenta accreta spectrum. He has shared his work in many peer-reviewed journals, textbook chapters, abstracts and invited presentations. He is also a reviewer for national and international journals including the <em>American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Plos one and Prenatal Diagnosis. </em></p><p>Dr. Dar is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Clinical Genetics and is a member of several professional societies including the Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine, International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has been regularly listed among Castle Connolly Top Doctors for obstetrics and gynecology in the New York Metro area.</p>

<p>Whitney L. Clearwater, MD, MPH, FACOG, is Associate Program Director, Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Urology and Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Clearwater specializes in collaborating with patients to develop treatment plans tailored to their lifestyles for women experiencing pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, accidental bowel leakage, painful bladder syndrome, mesh complications and vesicovaginal fistula. Depending on the condition, she offers exercises, dietary modifications, medications, office-based treatments and minimally invasive surgical techniques, including vaginal and robotic approaches.</p><p>After earning her Master of Public Health in biostatistics and epidemiology at the University of Southern California in 2011, Dr. Clearwater earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Kansas in 2015. She then completed her obstetrics & gynecology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2019. Dr. Clearwater remained at this institution to complete a clinical fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery in 2023.</p><p>Dr. Clearwater&rsquo;s academic interests include global health and medical education. Her work has been published in many peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts, and she has shared her work through numerous educational lectures, workshops and presentations.</p><p>Dr. Clearwater is an active member of national organizations related to her specialty, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS). She was nominated to the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received the Leo M. Davidoff Medical Student Teaching Award from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health for multiple years.</p>

<p>Edith D. Gurewitsch Allen, MD, MBA, MEd, is Professor and Interim Chair, Obstetrics, Gynecology &amp; Women&rsquo;s Health and Executive Vice Chair, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women's Health Clinical Services at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Gurewitsch Allen embraces her role as director, mentor and advocate of the Department&rsquo;s faculty and administrators, championing the delivery of exceptional quality reproductive health care for underserved women and pregnant people of the Bronx. She also guides and facilitates the faculty&rsquo;s professional development to ensure the Department&rsquo;s continued world-renowned professional education and training of the future generation of women&rsquo;s health care providers in general Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and every subspecialty.
</p><p>Dr. Gurewitsch Allen was in the first class that accepted women at Columbia College. She earned her medical degree from the College of Physicians &amp; Surgeons at Columbia University, then completed her residency in Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at The New York Hospital Cornell University Medical Center. From there, she joined the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1997, where she continued as a full-time faculty member in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine until 2018, when she was recruited to be Executive Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs for Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at Montefiore. Further developing her teaching and administrative skills, Dr. Gurewitsch Allen earned her Masters of Education of Health Professionals from Johns Hopkins School of Education, focusing on evaluation of best educational practices, competency assessment, and outcomes measures. She also completed her Master of Business Administration in Health Care Management at Johns Hopkins University&rsquo;s Carey Business School.
</p><p>Dr. Gurewitsch Allen&rsquo;s clinical research has been devoted to shoulder dystocia and its relationship to obstetric brachial plexus injury. Previously supported from 2004-2007 by an R-49 grant from the CDC National Center for Injury Prevention and Control as Principal Investigator of a research program entitled Preventing Unintentional Mechanical Birth Injury, she focused on examining mechanisms of injury, objectively evaluating obstetrical maneuvers, educating physicians-in-training through simulated complicated births and educating physicians in patient safety and injury prevention through continuing medical education. She is currently funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality for a 5-year, $2M R-18 grant to study the optimal methods for training and assessing provider competency in managing shoulder dystocia using simulation. Dr. Gurewitsch Allen has attained national and international recognition in this area, sharing her work through more than 135 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, invited oral presentations and internet-based presentations.
</p><p>Dr. Gurewitsch Allen is board certified in Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, the Council of University Chairs in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
