<p>Christina J. Yang, MD, is Director, Pediatric Dysphagia Program; Associate Director, Pediatric Otolaryngology Quality Assurance and Assistant Professor at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Yang&rsquo;s clinical interests include airway and swallowing disorders in children, endoscopic and open airway reconstruction and tracheotomy.</p><p>A graduate of Northwestern University, Dr. Yang received her Bachelor of Arts in 2004, and continued at the institution&rsquo;s Feinberg School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2008. She began her postdoctoral education at Tulane University School of Medicine, completing her residency in otolaryngology&ndash;head and neck surgery in 2013. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Cincinnati Children&rsquo;s Hospital Medical Center, completing it in 2015.</p><p>Dr. Yang&rsquo;s research focuses on the application of healthcare simulation to medical education, patient safety, quality improvement and implementation science. <p>Jacqueline Weingarten-Arams, MD, is an attending physician and Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Weingarten-Arams&rsquo; pediatric critical care expertise focuses on cardiac critical care, acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, nutrition in critical illness and energy expenditure, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (quality CPR) and extracorporeal life support (ECMO).</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in nutritional biochemistry at Cornell University in 1982, Dr. Weingarten-Arams earned her Doctor of Medicine at the same institution in 1986. She then completed her pediatric residency at Columbia University in 1990, where she was Chief Resident in her final year. Following this, Dr. Weingarten-Arams completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at New York Hospital Cornell University Medical College in 1996.</p><p>Dr. Weingarten-Arams research focus includes the use of deliberate simulated practice in improving outcomes in pediatric critical illness, pediatric resuscitation and pediatric airway management. Her other projects involve chronic critical illness, bioethics in pediatric critical care and oxidative injury in respiratory failure. She has been principal investigator and co-investigator on several research projects, and her work has been shared through numerous peer-reviewed publications and invited presentations.</p><p>Dr. Weingarten-Arams is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Chest Physicians. She is also a member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Weingarten-Arams has been named in Castle Connolly&rsquo;s &ldquo;Top Doctors: New York Metro Area&rdquo; for multiple years. In 2006, she was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society and in 2019, Dr. Weingarten-Arams won the William Obrinsky Award for Excellence in Medical Student Education.</p>

<p>Mark Shlomovich, MD, is Director, Extracorporeal Liver Support and Director, Pediatric Critical Care Transport at Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Shlomovich&rsquo;s clinical focus is on the care of critically ill children with abdominal organ failure, transplantation and post-surgical care. <p>Susan Klugman, MD, FACOG, FACMG, is Director, Reproductive and Medical Genetics, Program Director, Medical Genetics and Genomics Residency and Professor, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health and Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus is on the evaluation of patients and families at risk for genetic disorders including those patients at risk for hereditary cancer syndromes. She also provides evaluations during pregnancy or preconception, including prenatal diagnosis and consultation for patients undergoing assisted reproductive technologies.</p><p>After completing her Bachelor of Science at Cornell University in 1984, Dr. Klugman attended New York University School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1988. She pursued her postdoctoral training at Montefiore Einstein and Jacobi Medical Center, completing her obstetrics and gynecology residency in 1992 and serving as administrative chief resident in her final year. In 2002, she continued her medical training at Montefiore Einstein in medical genetics, completing the program in 2004.</p><p>Dr. Klugman&rsquo;s research focuses on novel methods for prenatal screening, testing and diagnosis as well as the assessment of new modalities for the diagnosis and treatment of hereditary cancer syndromes. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and other print publications. She was the Reproductive Genetics Editor for <em>Genetics in Medicine</em> and has been a reviewer for journals such as the <em>American Journal of Medical Genetics, Obstetrics and Gynecology and Prenatal Diagnosis</em>. Dr. Klugman has spoken extensively at regional and national medical conferences, including more than 70 international and national invited presentations.</p><p>Dr. Klugman has served on the board of the American College of Medical Genetics since 2015 and will be President from 2023 to 2025. She has completed six-year terms on both the Committee on Genetics of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Residency Review Committee for Medical Genetics for the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education. She is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and medical genetics and is listed in several medical directories including <em>Who&rsquo;s Who in Medical Sciences Education</em>, <em>Who&rsquo;s Who in Academic Medicine</em>, <em>New York Magazine</em> Best Doctors list, and Castle Connelly <em>How to Find the Best Metro Area Doctors</em>.</p>

<p>Tamara Kalhan, MD, FAAP, is Medical Director, Low Birthweight Evaluation and Assessment Program (LEAP) Clinic and Director, Neonatal Education, Wakefield Division at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Course Director, Medicine Electives in Neonatology and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is on neonatal outcomes for premature infants, low birth weight infants and infants requiring extended Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) hospitalizations.</p><p>Dr. Kalhan earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2009 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency in 2012 at St. Louis Children&rsquo;s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Columbia University, where she was Chief Fellow in her final year of training in 2015.</p><p>Dr. Kalhan&rsquo;s research interests and expertise include improving follow-up care and neonatal outcomes in high-risk infant populations, with an emphasis on early detection of cerebral palsy.
