<p>Dr. Collins-Ogle's clinical focus is on the implementation of strategies to promote care for infants, children and adolescents living with HIV/AIDS.<br /></p>
Dr. Collins-Ogle’s research focuses on different modes of delivery of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis in adolescents and youth. She also works with the pediatric and adult infectious disease teams at Montefiore to better understand sexually transmitted infections’ impact in adolescents and susceptibility to HIV acquisition.
<p><span>Michelle Collins-Ogle, MD, FAAP, is Attending Pediatrician, Infectious Diseases and Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She is also an </span>Associate<span> Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is on the implementation of strategies to promote care for infants, children and adolescents living with HIV/AIDS.</span></p><p><span>In 1982, Dr. Collins-Ogle received her Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Michigan. She then attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Medicine in 1986. She began her postgraduate training in 1986 and spent the following five years at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan completing an internship, residency and fellowship. </span></p><p><span>Dr. Collins-Ogle’s research focuses on different modes of delivery of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis in adolescents and youth. She also works with the pediatric and adult infectious disease teams at Montefiore to better understand sexually transmitted infections’ impact in adolescents and susceptibility to HIV acquisition. Her work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals and books and has been presented nationally. </span></p><p><span>In 2015, she received the Linda Bell Award for Advocacy in HIV/AIDS presented by the North Carolina Community AIDS Fund. The following year, she received the Emerald Award for Contributions in Health and Human Services from LINKS, Inc. Dr. Collins-Ogle was selected to serve on the President's Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS for the Obama administration 2014-2016. </span></p><p>Dr. Collins-Ogle is a member of a number of professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of HIV Medicine and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.</p>
<p>Whitney L. Clearwater, MD, MPH, FACOG, is Associate Program Director, Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Urology and Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women’s Health at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Clearwater specializes in collaborating with patients to develop treatment plans tailored to their lifestyles for women experiencing pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, accidental bowel leakage, painful bladder syndrome, mesh complications and vesicovaginal fistula. Depending on the condition, she offers exercises, dietary modifications, medications, office-based treatments and minimally invasive surgical techniques, including vaginal and robotic approaches.</p><p>After earning her Master of Public Health in biostatistics and epidemiology at the University of Southern California in 2011, Dr. Clearwater earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Kansas in 2015. She then completed her obstetrics & gynecology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2019. Dr. Clearwater remained at this institution to complete a clinical fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery in 2023.</p><p>Dr. Clearwater’s academic interests include global health and medical education. Her work has been published in many peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts, and she has shared her work through numerous educational lectures, workshops and presentations.</p><p>Dr. Clearwater is an active member of national organizations related to her specialty, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS). She was nominated to the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received the Leo M. Davidoff Medical Student Teaching Award from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Women's Health for multiple years.</p>
