Faculty Advising and Mentorship

We are here to help you define your goals and meet them. Each intern is paired with an Associate Program Director who is also their faculty advisor. You meet with your Advisor at least twice a year during semi-annuals where you will get to know each other better, review your performance and work on your personal goals using a learning contract. You will have the opportunity to work with a subspecialty mentor, but all our faculty are open to mentoring you.

Wellness

Residency can be one of the most challenging experience and it’s essential that you care for yourself while caring for others. In addition to Montefiore’s many support services directed towards residents, we have an annual introduction to wellness session, one-on-one wellness check-ins, one-on-one mental health check-ins, drop in support with our social work team and a Resident Wellness Committee, which regularly organizes wellness activities.

Life After Montefiore

After graduation, our residents typically take the ABIM Certification Exam (3 year rolling program pass rate=88%) and go on to jobs or fellowship training across the country. We invite our alums to join us for our annual Alumni Day, where you can see old friends and share your experiences.
