<p>Naum Shaparin, MD, MBA, is Professor and Vice Chair of Business Affairs, Anesthesiology as well as the Director, Multidisciplinary Pain Program at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Shaparin's clinical focus is in outpatient interventional pain medicine. He also has interest in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia and acute pain medicine.</p><p>In 1999, Dr. Shaparin received his Bachelor of Arts in biology from Boston University. He went on to attend Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 2003. After completing his internship at Morristown Memorial Hospital and Overlook Hospital in 2004, he completed a three-year anesthesiology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center in 2007. He continued his postgraduate training at Cleveland Clinic, completing a yearlong pain medicine fellowship in 2008. In 2016, he completed his Master of Business Administration at New York University, Stern School of Business.</p><p>Dr. Shaparin's research interests include non-opioid therapies for chronic non-malignant pain, interventional pain procedures, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on healthcare delivery and social determinants of health with a focus on patient failure to attend pain clinic appointments. He has shared his work through peer-reviewed journals and national and international presentations.</p><p>Dr. Shaparin is board certified and is a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.</p>

<p>Andrew I. Gitkind, MD, MHA, is Vice Chair, Rehabilitation Medicine, Medical Director, Montefiore Spine Center and Associate Professor, Rehabilitation Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery and Anesthesiology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Gitkind&rsquo;s clinical focus is on the management of acute and chronic spine pain. He uses a variety of conservative management as well as interventional techniques to help guide patients back to a high level of function and satisfaction.</p><p>After earning his Doctor of Medicine at St. George&rsquo;s University School of Medicine in Granada, West Indies, in 2004, Dr. Gitkind completed a one-year residency in internal medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in 2005 before completing his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Montefiore in 2008, where he was Chief Resident in his last year. Following this, Dr. Gitkind completed a fellowship in pain management with a focus on interventional procedures at Montefiore in 2012. He then earned his Master of Health Administration at the University of Phoenix in 2018.</p><p>Dr. Gitkind has conducted National Institute of Health (NIH) sponsored research. His work has been published as original communications in peer-reviewed journals, books, chapters, review articles, abstracts and poster presentations. He has given invited lectures locally and nationally. Dr. Gitkind is an editorial reviewer for the <em>American Journal of Physical Medicine &amp; Rehabilitation, The Spine Journal</em> and <em>Pain Medicine</em>.</p><p>Dr. Gitkind is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in his primary specialty and has subspecialty board certification in Pain Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, the Spine Intervention Society, the North American Spine Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Dr. Gitkind was named Top Doctor in the New York Times annually from 2018 through 2022.</p>

<p>Camille Fontaine, MD, is an attending physician, Anesthesiology and Assistant Professor, Anesthesiology at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus is in general anesthesiology, acute pain management and interventional and chronic pain management. She takes a unique approach to treatment that is wholly patient-tailored, with clinical interests that include non-opioid multimodal analgesic models, Point of Care Ultrasonography (POCUS), ultrasound guided musculoskeletal, joint, and peripheral nerve injections, as well as wholebody wellness, lifestyle and functional medicine.</p><p>In 2015, Dr. Fontaine earned her Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College.
