<p>Celina Crisman , MD, MPH, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Neurological Surgery at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Crisman specializes in neurosurgical oncology and focuses on the diagnosis and surgical treatment of cranial lesions in adult patients. Through a dedicated fellowship, she received specialized training in surgical approaches to benign and malignant cranial tumors and enjoys applying the most advanced techniques and surgical adjuncts to each case. Dr. Crisman performs awake tumor resection when indicated and works closely with a multidisciplinary team to maximize resection of tumors in eloquent regions. She also cares for patients with general neurosurgical needs ranging from hydrocephalus, chiari malformation and herniated discs, as well as traumatic bleeds.</p><p>Dr. Crisman obtained her Bachelor of Science in biology and biology and society from Cornell University, and earned her Doctor of Medicine from Columbia University Valegos College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her residency in neurological surgery at Rutgers University and was a neurosurgical oncology fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Dr. Crisman also earned a Masters in Public Health from the Harvard Chan School of Public Health.</p>

<p>Abier A. Abdelnaby, MD, is Director, Colon and Rectal Surgical Services and Associate Professor, Surgery at Montefiore Einstein. She is a fellowship-trained colon and rectal surgeon with a clinical focus on care for patients with all disorders of the colon, rectum and anus.</p><p>After earning her Bachelor of Arts at Cornell University in 1996, Dr. Abdelnaby pursued her Doctor of Medicine at Howard University College of Medicine, receiving her degree in 2001. She continued at Howard University Hospital for her postdoctoral training, starting with a year-long internship followed by a four-year general surgery residency, which she completed in 2006. She then attended the University of Southern California, completing a colon and rectal surgery fellowship in 2007.</p><p>Dr. Abdelnaby performs clinical research investigating various topics in colon and rectal surgery. Her original research has been published in several journals and poster presentations, and she has contributed to book chapters and abstracts. She has presented her work regionally, nationally and internationally. Dr. Abdelnaby introduced the “Same Day Colectomy” practice to Montefiore Einstein which has had a great impact on patients.</p><p>Dr. Abdelnaby is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. She is a member of many professional associations, including The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, The American College of Surgeons, The International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons, The Physicians for Peace Society, The SAGES Society and the Pan African Association of Surgeons.</p>
