The Epigenomics Shared Facility (ESF) is part of Einstein's Center for Epigenomics and is an Illumina Certified Service Provider (CSPro) laboratory. The ESF's high-throughput molecular technology resources include massively parallel sequencing (MPS) platforms — the Oxford Nanopore MinION, Illumina NextSeq 2000, and Illumina MiSeq — supported by TECAN Freedom EVO® 200 robotics, as well as the BD Rhapsody HT Xpress system from Waters Biosciences (formerly BD Biosciences) for single-cell multi-omic assays.
The ESF supports diverse assays for MPS services to study the epigenome and strives to bring cutting-edge technologies, including quality control and assurance, to benefit the programs of Einstein researchers. The ESF also provides support and services for single-cell assays, expanding its library of multi-omic assays on the BD Rhapsody HT Xpress system (Waters Biosciences) for fragile, rare, and challenging cell types.
