Zachary P. Berliner
<p>Zachary Berliner, MD, is an attending orthopedic surgeon at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Orthopedic Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Berliner has a passion for improving the quality of life of his patients through advanced surgical techniques and personalized care. His clinical focus centers on anterior approach total hip arthroplasty, as well as robotic-arm assisted total hip and total knee arthroplasty. Dr. Berliner’s goal is to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain and improve overall function, empowering them to live their lives with greater ease and confidence.</p><p>After receiving his Bachelor of Science from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City University of New York in 2014, Dr. Berliner earned his Doctor of Medicine at the State University of New York/Downstate Medical Center in 2016. He completed a research fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Lenox Hill Hospital/Northwell Health in 2018. Following this, Dr. Berliner completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Boston University, Boston Medical Center in 2023 and an adult reconstructive surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2024.</p><p>Dr. Berliner’s research is focused on improving early postoperative recovery and identifying predictors of patient-reported outcomes following total joint arthroplasty. He is committed to staying at the forefront of his field, regularly engaging in continuing education and research. His work has been shared through numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, podium and poster presentations and other multimedia.</p><p>Dr. Berliner is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.</p>
