Dr. Gittler&rsquo;s clinical areas of focus include all areas of pediatric dermatology, including eczema, vascular and other birthmarks, acne, genetic skin disorders and other pediatric dermatologic conditions.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Dr. Gittler earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences in 2008 and graduated summa cum laude. From 2008 to 2013, she attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, receiving her Doctor of Medicine and earning distinction in dermatology research through a research fellowship at the Rockefeller University. Her training also includes completion of a yearlong pediatrics internship at Cohen Children&rsquo;s Medical Center in 2014, a three-year dermatology residency at New York University in 2017 and a yearlong pediatric dermatology fellowship at Columbia University in 2018.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-pagination: widow-orphan;">Following her clinical interests, Dr. Gittler&rsquo;s research focus is on pediatric dermatology. <p>Mauricio Drummond Jr., MD, is an attending surgeon and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics and Orthopedic Surgery at Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore. His interests include pediatric orthopedic surgery, complex pediatric and adolescent sports medicine, ACL, PCL and multiligament knee injuries, discoid meniscus, meniscus transplantation, patellofemoral instability, trochlear dysplasia, cartilage preservation and pediatric trauma and limb deformities.</p><p>In 1996, Dr. Drummond earned his Doctor of Medicine from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He completed his residency training at the same institution, and practiced as a knee specialist for more than 13 years in Brazil. In 2018, he came to the United States, completing an orthopedic surgery research fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2019 and an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2020. <p>Dr. Yang earned his medical degree at Beijing Medical University in China followed by an orthopaedic residency at Peking University People&rsquo;s Hospital in Beijing, China.&nbsp; Following his training in China, he came to the United States where he earned a Master&rsquo;s degree in Biological Sciences from Hunter College at the City University of New York. <p>Melinda S. Sharkey, MD, is an Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at Montefiore. Biography

<p>Jacob F. Schulz, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who provides comprehensive pediatric orthopedic care with an emphasis on spinal deformity, neuromuscular disease and trauma. He has a particular interest in the growing spine, with experience using the vertical expandable titanium rib (VEPTR) device and vertebral tethering through a thoracoscopic approach. At our Albert Einstein College of Medicine, he is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery.</p><p>He served both his internship and residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where he was honored with the Frank Hammond Sivitz and Chief Resident Teaching Awards in 2011. During his residency, he traveled to Neustadt, Germany to study spine deformity at the Schoen Clinic, and to San Pedro Sula in Honduras to help CURE International provide world class orthopedic care to children. Dr. Schulz completed his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis at Rady Children&rsquo;s Hospital-San Diego, ranked second by <em>U.S. News &amp; World Report</em> in 2012.</p><p>Dr. Schulz&rsquo;s research has been published in The Journal of Pediatric Orthopedics (JPO) and presented at several national meetings. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America (POSNA).</p>

<p>Garrison Pease, MD, is an attending surgical pathologist and Assistant Professor, Pathology at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on genitourinary and urologic pathology, with a focus on one-on-one teaching at the scope with residents and medical students. He is also focused on quality assurance and quality improvement with an emphasis on lab efficiency and patient-centered turn-around time.</p><p>After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in biology from Saint John's University (Collegeville, MN) in 2009, Dr. Pease earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota in 2013. He completed his anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of University of Chicago - NorthShore in 2017, where he was Chief Resident in his final two years. Following this, Dr. Pease completed a general surgical pathology fellowship at Washington University &ndash; St. Louis in 2018, followed by a genitourinary pathology fellowship at the University of Washington in 2019.</p><p>Dr. Pease&rsquo;s research is focused on genitourinary and urologic pathology and quality assurance and improvement. He has worked on the College of American Pathologists (CAP) self and peer-based laboratory inspections. His work has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and shared through abstracts and poster presentations nationally and internationally.</p><p>Dr. Pease is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology and is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology and the College of American Pathologists. In 2021, Dr. Pease won the Department of Pathology Outstanding Teaching Award from Montefiore Einstein's Pathology Residency program.</p>
