<p>Mauricio Drummond Jr., MD, is an attending surgeon and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics and Orthopedic Surgery at Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore. Dr. Drummond&rsquo;s clinical focus is in pediatric sports medicine with a special focus on knee pathology. His interests include pediatric orthopedic surgery, complex pediatric and adolescent sports medicine, ACL, PCL and multiligament knee injuries, discoid meniscus, meniscus transplantation, patellofemoral instability, trochlear dysplasia, cartilage preservation and pediatric trauma and limb deformities.</p><p>In 1996, Dr. Drummond earned his Doctor of Medicine from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He completed his residency training at the same institution, and practiced as a knee specialist for more than 13 years in Brazil. In 2018, he came to the United States, completing an orthopedic surgery research fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2019 and an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2020. He continued his postdoctoral training, completing his pediatric orthopedics and limb deformity fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center in 2021 and his pediatric orthopedics fellowship at Connecticut Children&rsquo;s Medical Center in 2022.</p><p>Dr. Drummond&rsquo;s research interests include discoid meniscus, trochlear dysplasia, patellofemoral instability and ACL tears. He has shared his work nationally and internationally through peer-reviewed journals and podium and poster presentations. <p>Dr. Yang earned his medical degree at Beijing Medical University in China followed by an orthopaedic residency at Peking University People&rsquo;s Hospital in Beijing, China.&nbsp; Following his training in China, he came to the United States where he earned a Master&rsquo;s degree in Biological Sciences from Hunter College at the City University of New York. Dr. Yang completed a second orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Texas, in Houston and then he did a fellowship in Orthopaedic Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.</p>
<p>Dr. Yang specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant tumors in the musculoskeletal system. A multidisciplinary approach is emphasized in his practice. He performs surgery to remove the tumor fom the limb and pelvis, and rebuild them using techniques tailored for each individual patient. Dr. Yang is also interested in treating metastatic bony lesions originating from other parts of the body.</p>
<p>Dr. Yang has a strong interest in the research of musculoskeletal tumors. <p>Dr. Wahezi attended medical school at the University of Buffalo, School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. <p>Jacob F. Schulz, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who provides comprehensive pediatric orthopedic care with an emphasis on spinal deformity, neuromuscular disease and trauma. <p>Dr. Kulsakdinun has special interests and advanced training in foot and ankle surgery. He specializes in forefoot reconstruction of the foot, i.e., bunions and hammertoes. He also has training in hindfoot reconstruction for post traumatic deformities, flat feet, diabetic foot problems and athletic foot and ankle injuries.</p>
<p>Dr. Kulsakdinun is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery. He received a bachelors degree from the Johns Hopkins University in 1988 and a medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in 1993. He completed an internship in general surgery at Yale Haven Hospital and a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital. He completed a combined foot and ankle fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery and Roosevelt Hospital in 1999. He is a member of&nbsp; the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.</p>

<p>Chaiyaporn Kulsakdinun, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He currently serves as the Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at Montefiore and is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He has clinical expertise in foot/ankle trauma, hindfoot reconstruction, bunions and hammertoes and arthritis surgery. He also specializes in athletic disorders of the foot and ankle: Achilles tendon problems, ankle sprains and ankle arthroscopies, ankle/foot arthrodesis, total ankle replacements, diabetic foot surgery, flat feet surgery, achilles tendon surgery, ankle arthroscopy and bunion surgery are the types of corrective surgeries that he performs.</p>
