<p>Dr. Manish Ramesh was appointed assistant professor in the Einstein/Montefiore Division of Allergy and Immunology in July 2014. He is director of the Montefiore Medical Center Food Allergy Centers in Scarsdale and the Bronx.</p>
<p>Dr. Ramesh completed fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and residency training in internal medicine at Jacobi Medical Center, where he was best overall resident (PGY3) in 2011. He attended medical school in India at S.C.B. Medical College and subsequently obtained his Ph.D. in immunology from University of Connecticut Health Center.</p>

<p>Jillian Parekh, MD, is an Attending Physician in the Division of Academic General Pediatrics at Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is caring for children in the Montefiore community, including preventative medicine, developmental and educational growth, mental health concerns and addressing acute and chronic illness. Dr. Parekh joined Montefiore in 2011.</p><p>Dr. Parekh attended Brown University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Biomedical Ethics. In 2005, she received her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at CHAM and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, becoming Chief Resident in 2008.</p><p>Dr. Parekh&rsquo;s academic focus is on medical education. She has spoken at many presentations nationally, helping train and educate future pediatricians.</p><p>She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and a member of the Academic Pediatric Association.</p>

<p>Dr. Oyeku is Chief of the Division of Academic General Pediatrics at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM). She is also Professor of Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Oyeku manages the clinical, research, advocacy and educational missions of the division in addition to being responsible for faculty and staff development.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Dr. Oyeku is a general pediatrician with expertise in health services research, implementation science and the use of quality improvement methods to disseminate effective care strategies and improve care and patient outcomes for children with chronic diseases such as sickle cell disease. Dr. Oyeku&rsquo;s clinical activities are focused on providing pediatric primary care and inpatient care at Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore. Dr. Oyeku also has expertise providing specialized care to children and adolescents with sickle cell disease.</p>
<p>Dr. Oyeku&rsquo; s research activities are focused on understanding health services utilization patterns and improving the quality of care for children and adolescents with sickle cell disease. Dr. Oyeku also serves as Medical Director for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funded Sickle Cell Disease Treatment Demonstration Program National Coordinating Center at the National Institute for Children&rsquo;s Health Quality (NICHQ). <p>On a regional and national level, Dr. Oyeku has also served on advisory panels and committees focused on sickle cell disease and improving healthcare quality for children and adolescents. She completed a three year term as the Treasurer for the Academic Pediatrics Association, a professional society representing 2,000 child health providers in the US.</p>
<p>She holds a Bachelor&rsquo;s of Science degree in Biomedicine from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City College of New York. Dr. Oyeku received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency training at the Boston Combined Residency Program in Pediatrics at Boston Medical Center and Boston Children&rsquo;s Hospital. Dr. Oyeku also completed fellowship training at the Harvard Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship program at Boston Children&rsquo;s Hospital. She received her Master&rsquo;s degree in Public Health with a concentration in clinical effectiveness at the Harvard School of Public Health.&nbsp; She is also a graduate of the <em>Hedwig van Ameringen </em>Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM), a program of Drexel University College of Medicine. Biography

<p>Suzette Oyeku, MD, MPH, is a general pediatrician and health services researcher. She is Associate Division Chief for Academic Affairs within the division of general pediatrics at CHAM. In this capacity, she oversees a broad array of activities, including stewardship of divisional research initiatives and faculty development activities.</p><p>In addition to general pediatrics, Dr. Oyeku has particular interest in Quality Improvement, sickle cell disease, and faculty development and community education activities.</p><p>Since 2008, Dr. Oyeku has served as Co-Director of Pediatric Grand Rounds at CHAM.</p><p>Dr. Oyeku received her MD from NYU School of Medicine and her MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. For the past 12 years, she has served as the Medical Director of the Teen Parenting/Teen-Toddler Program.</p><p>Dr. Lim earned a bachelor of science degree from the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at the City University of New York, and her medical degree from New York University. She completed pediatric residency and General Academic Pediatrics Fellowship at New York University Medical Center.</p><p>Dr. Lim's areas of research include adolescent reproductive health, sexually transmitted diseases, and adolescent mental health. <p>Faye Kokotos, MD, is Attending Physician at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Kokotos is focused on the medical care of infants, children and adolescents.</p><p>In 1984, Dr. Kokotos received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Barnard College. She went on to attend the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, receiving her Doctor of Medicine in 1988. Her postgraduate training took place at Montefiore, starting with an internship and residency in Pediatrics from 1988 to 1991, followed by a fellowship in Ambulatory Care Pediatrics from 1991 to 1992.</p><p>Dr. Kokotos has written several book chapters and review articles.</p><p>In 2018, Dr. Kokotos was inducted into the Leo Davidoff Society for excellence in medical student education. Dr. Kokotos is board certified. Dr. Klar&rsquo;s clinical expertise includes general dermatological procedures, as well as more complex procedures such as the treatment of psoriasis and inflammatory dermatoses with phototherapy, topical therapy and biologic therapy. Dr. Klar also treats cancers of the skin including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma.<span>&nbsp; </span>She has advanced training and extensive experience treating adults and children for general dermatological conditions, including rashes, acne, rosacea and eczema. <p>Dr. Holly Kanavy completed a B.S. in Biochemistry with Departmental Honors in Neuroscience at Stony Brook University and a medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she received the A.T. Still Memorial Scholarship Award and was a member of the Psi Sigma Alpha National Osteopathic Scholastic Honor Society. Following an internship at North Shore/LIJ Plainview Hospital, Dr. Kanavy completed two fellowships, one in Melanoma Translational Research at NYU Langone Medical Center, and another in Dermatopharmacology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She then completed a dermatology residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, serving as chief resident.</p>
