<p>Jamie Osman-Wager, MD, MPH, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus centers on adult medicine.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science from Cornell University in 2005, Dr. Osman-Wager completed a dietetic internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2006. She continued her medical education, earning her Master of Public Health at Harvard in 2010 and her Doctor of Medicine at Montefiore Einstein in 2011. She completed her internal medicine residency at New York University Langone Medical Center in 2014.</p><p>Dr. Osman-Wager’s research has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences. She currently serves as site leader at Montefiore Einstein’s Moses campus for the third year medical student internal medicine clerkship. Most of her time focuses on educating and training residents and medical students.</p><p>Dr. Osman-Wager is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Medical Society of the State of New York. In 2021, she won the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Medical Students.</p>

Heyi Li
<p>Heyi Li, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus is on the management of acute and chronic disorders of the lung and breathing, such as chronic obstructive lung diseases, asthma, interstitial lung diseases, infectious lung diseases and lung nodules. She performs airway and chest procedures including bronchoscopies and thoracentesis, and also provides consultations on smoking cessation and respiratory rehabilitation.</p><p>After earning her Bachelor of Engineering degree at Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China in 2011, she continued her education with the institution’s School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2015. Dr Li’s postdoctoral training brought her to the United States, completing a three-year residency in internal medicine at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in 2019 and a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Mayo Clinic at Rochester, Minnesota in 2022.</p><p>Dr. Li’s clinical research focuses on care delivery research and implementation science. Her goal is to develop a mature line of inquiry in implementation science, focused on both conceptual frameworks and pragmatic implementation strategies. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals and has presented it at regional and national conferences. Dr. Li has also been a periodic reviewer for <em>Critical Care Medicine</em> and the <em>American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine</em>.</p><p>Dr. Li is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.</p>
Elissa G. Yozawitz
<p>Pediatric neurology, epilepsy, neonatal neurology.</p>
Dr. Yozawitz focuses on the management of neonatal neurology and pediatric epilepsy, particularly children and adolescents with difficult-to-treat seizures. She specializes in a variety of neurological conditions diagnosed in the newborn period, including hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, stroke, and seizures. She has expertise in EEG and advanced medical treatments. She provides care from the neonatal period through adolescence.
Dr. Yozawitz’s research is focused on neonatal seizures and early-life epilepsies, including infantile spasms. She is involved in multicenter studies to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes for children with epilepsy. She is also involved in assessing EEG changes during anesthesia.
<p>Elissa G. Yozawitz, MD, is Director of Neonatal Neurology at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Yozawitz focuses on the neurological management of children, from the neonatal period through adolescence, particularly those with difficult-to-treat seizures. She also specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, stroke and seizures in the newborn. Dr. Yozawitz’s expertise includes electroencephalography (EEG) and state-of-the-art treatments.</p><p>After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and in health and society from the University of Rochester in 2001, Dr. Yozawitz earned a Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in 2005. She completed a pediatric residency at Schneider Children’s Hospital in 2007, followed by a residency in pediatric neurology at Montefiore Einstein in 2010. Dr. Yozawitz remained at Montefiore Einstein to complete a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology in 2011.</p><p>Dr. Yozawitz’s research focuses on improving the identification and efficacy of treating early-life epilepsies, including infantile spasms. Her research also explores EEG changes during anesthesia. Dr. Yozawitz participated in multicenter studies, functioned as site principal investigator and co-investigator for multiple research projects, presented her research findings at national and international scientific meetings, published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and authored several book chapters. She served as a reviewer for medical journals including <em>Epilepsia, Epileptic Disorders, Neurology</em> and the <em>New England Journal of Medicine</em>, among others. For several years, Dr. Yozawitz participated in the work of international committees tasked to revise nosology and treatment guidelines for neonatal and childhood epilepsy.</p><p>Dr. Yozawitz is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Epilepsy and Neurology, with special certification in Child Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society and the Child Neurology Society. Dr. Yozawitz repeatedly has been named in Castle Connolly’s “Regional Top Doctor,” “Top Doctors: New York Metro Area.” She additionally has been listed in <em>New York Magazine’s</em> “Top Doctors” for multiple years.</p>
Christina J. Yang

<p>Christina J. Yang, MD, is Director, Pediatric Dysphagia Program; Associate Director, Pediatric Otolaryngology Quality Assurance and Assistant Professor at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Yang’s clinical interests include airway and swallowing disorders in children, endoscopic and open airway reconstruction and tracheotomy.</p><p>A graduate of Northwestern University, Dr. Yang received her Bachelor of Arts in 2004, and continued at the institution’s Feinberg School of Medicine, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2008. She began her postdoctoral education at Tulane University School of Medicine, completing her residency in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery in 2013. She then pursued a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, completing it in 2015.</p><p>Dr. Yang’s research focuses on the application of healthcare simulation to medical education, patient safety, quality improvement and implementation science. <p>Dr. Rebecca Williams specializes in Family Medicine with concentrated practice in maternity care. She returned to UIC as residency faculty coordinating women’s health training. She completed a faculty development fellowship and a master's degree in health professions education. In 2004, she joined the Montefiore Einstein Department of Family and Social Medicine as residency faculty. She currently serves as the Director of Maternity Services for Family Medicine. After years as the sole attending family physician delivering babies at Montefiore hospitals, she now leads a team of family physicians providing care to a large group of women.</p>
<p>Dr. Williams holds an academic appointment in the Department of Family and Social Medicine. She is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and teaches residents, students and fellows. She supervises training of residents on labor and delivery and in the office. She directs the Fellowship in Family Centered Maternity Care.</p>
<p>Dr. Williams's research interests are medical education and women’s health, with a focus on normal birth.</p>

<p>Rebecca Williams, MD, MHPE , FAAFP, is Director, Maternity Services and Assistant Professor at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Williams has more than three decades of experience as a family physician.</p><p>After completing her undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Dr. Williams earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She began her postgraduate training in Wisconsin with an internship at Southeastern Family Practice, followed by a residency at Appleton Family Practice.</p><p>Dr. Williams is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine.</p>

Jeffrey M. Weiss
<p>Jeffrey Weiss, MD is a senior clinician-executive who has taken on progressive leadership positions at Montefiore Health System. Dr. Weiss earned a bachelor of science in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University, a medical degree from Stony Brook School of Medicine, and the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Montefiore, where he was chief resident.</p>
<p>In 2007, Dr. Weiss was named Institutional Medical Director for Montefiore Health System. His role is to help optimize the performance of the Montefiore health delivery network by ensuring a smooth interface between its various components - the doctors, hospital, medical group, home health agency, nursing homes, and the CMO. Dr. Weiss's responsibilities included leadership of nationally recognized patient safety, quality and peer review programs, management of a medical staff with 3,500 employed and voluntary physicians, supervision of GME activities for 1,200 residents in the second largest house staff program in the country, all under the coordinated umbrella of the "Office of the Medical Director" (OMD). As part of a restructuring of organizational clinical leadership in 2012, Dr. Weiss was named Vice President for Medical Affairs. In this role, he has retained many of his previous responsibilities, and is now leading a team of five newly appointed hospital medical directors in driving physician alignment and creating a horizontally integrated approach to quality and clinical performance across the system.</p>
<p>Dr. Weiss is an active clinician, teacher and researcher. He lectures nationally on topics including leadership, physician alignment, and patient safety in several forums, including as a faculty member for the AAMC and National Patient Safety Foundation.</p>
