“Research knows no Boundaries" in the Graduate Division of Biomedical Sciences at the Albert Einstein
College of
Medicine. Einstein is an “umbrella” program, all first-year graduate students are accepted into the
Graduate Division
without making a commitment to any specific department or training program. In the PhD program, graduate
students
conduct cutting-edge research in any of more than 200 laboratories in Biochemistry, Bioinformatics,
Biophysics, Cancer,
Cell and Molecular Biology, Clinical Investigation, Genetics, Immunology, Infectious Diseases,
Neuroscience, Stem Cell
Biology, Systems Biology, Epidemiology, Virology and more!
The Graduate Division has a longstanding commitment to training a wide variety of
students, including
those from groups
traditionally underrepresented in the biomedical sciences, including individuals from underrepresented
racial and ethnic
groups, individuals with disabilities, and individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Through the Einstein Core Scientific facilities, graduate students have access to the most advanced
equipment and
resources for their research. Einstein has centers for Cancer, AIDS, Diabetes, Aging, Liver Diseases,
and an Institute
for Clinical and Translational Research.
