Biography

<p>Elizabeth Gurney, MD, MPH, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus centers on complex contraception, long-acting reversible contraception and the management of unintended and abnormal pregnancy.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and biology from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Gurney earned her Doctor of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University School of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in family planning at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned her Master of Public Health from the University of Pennsylvania.</p><p>Building on her clinical focus, Dr. Gurney&rsquo;s research centers on immediate postpartum long-acting reversible contraception and improving patients&rsquo; experiences during office-based family planning procedures. She is also interested in adverse childhood experiences and pain during office procedures, doula support and abortion stigma. Her work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals, articles and abstracts, and she has given national oral presentations.</p><p>Dr. Gurney is doubly board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in general Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Complex Family Planning. She is a fellow of Bellevue Obstetrical and Gynecological Society and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also a junior fellow of the Society of Family Planning and a member of the National Abortion Federation. In 2017, Dr. Gurney won the Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education from the Council for Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia. In 2018 she served as faculty mentor for an award-winning resident QI project, winning Best Abstract from the ACOG District III Junior Fellow Meeting in Philadelphia, PA.</p>

<p>Lisa Gennarini, MD, has been an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Blood &amp; Marrow Cell Transplantation at Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) since 2014. Her clinical focus is on treatment of children with leukemia and lymphoma as well as various vascular anomalies. She is also the CHAM Principal Investigator for Children?s Oncology Group trials, and also leads the CHAM Vascular Malformations Program. </p><p>Dr. Gennarini graduated from Siena College in 2004, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 2008, she received her Doctor of Medicine at State University of New York, Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. <p>Georgios Doulaveris, MD, FACOG, is Associate Program Director, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program and Assistant Professor, Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Women&rsquo;s Health at Montefiore Einstein. He specializes in detailed fetal ultrasound for the diagnosis and treatment of fetal malformations, fetal therapy and surgery, prenatal screening for aneuploidy, genetic diagnostic procedures (chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis), diagnosis and management of fetal growth restriction, multiple gestations and placenta accreta spectrum. He also serves as Director of the Ultrasound Education Program for obstetrics &amp; gynecology residents and as Director of Research of the Fetal Medicine &amp; Ultrasound Division.</p>
<p>Dr. Doulaveris earned his Doctor of Medicine in 2010 from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School in Athens, Greece. He then came to Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian to participate in a research fellowship in obstetrics &amp; gynecology, completing it in 2013. Following this, Dr. Doulaveris completed his residency in obstetrics &amp; gynecology in 2017 at Montefiore Einstein, being an Administrative Chief Resident during his last year of residency. He stayed at Montefiore Einstein to participate in a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship, completing it in 2020.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Building on his clinical focus, Dr. Doulaveris's research focuses on fetal therapy and surgery, prenatal screening for aneuploidy, prenatal diagnosis and management of fetal growth restriction, multiple gestations and placenta accreta spectrum. He has presented his work in oral and poster abstracts in national and international meetings as well as in peer-reviewed journals.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Dr. Doulaveris is board certified in Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and societies, including the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the Fetal Medicine Foundation. Dr. Doulaveris was named the World Congress 2020 Digital Ambassador by the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also serves as Director of the Ultrasound Education Program for obstetrics &amp; gynecology residents and as Director of Research of the Fetal Medicine &amp; Ultrasound Division.</p><p>Dr. Doulaveris earned his Doctor of Medicine in 2010 from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens Medical School in Athens, Greece. He then came to Weill Cornell Medicine/NewYork-Presbyterian to participate in a research fellowship in obstetrics &amp; gynecology, completing it in 2013. Following this, Dr. Doulaveris completed his residency in obstetrics &amp; gynecology in 2017 at Montefiore Einstein, being an Administrative Chief Resident during his last year of residency. He stayed at Montefiore Einstein to participate in a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship, completing it in 2020.</p><p>Building on his clinical focus, Dr. Doulaveris's research focuses on fetal therapy and surgery, prenatal screening for aneuploidy, prenatal diagnosis and management of fetal growth restriction, multiple gestations and placenta accreta spectrum. He has presented his work in oral and poster abstracts in national and international meetings as well as in peer-reviewed journals.</p><p>Dr. Doulaveris is board certified in Obstetrics &amp; Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a member of numerous professional organizations and societies, including the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and the Fetal Medicine Foundation. Dr. Doulaveris was named the World Congress 2020 Digital Ambassador by the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He won the Leo M Davidoff Society Award for &ldquo;Outstanding Achievement in the Teaching of Medical Students&rdquo; from Montefiore Einstein twice, in 2016 and 2018.</p>

<p>Michelle Collins-Ogle, MD, FAAP, is Attending Pediatrician, Infectious Diseases and Adolescent Medicine at Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore. She is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is on the implementation of strategies to promote care for infants, children and adolescents living with HIV/AIDS.</p><p>In 1982, Dr. Collins-Ogle received her Bachelor of Science in biology at the University of Michigan. She then attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Medicine in 1986. She began her postgraduate training in 1986 and spent the following five years at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital of Michigan completing an internship, residency and fellowship. </p><p>Dr. Collins-Ogle&rsquo;s research focuses on different modes of delivery of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis in adolescents and youth. She also works with the pediatric and adult infectious disease teams at Montefiore to better understand sexually transmitted infections&rsquo; impact in adolescents and susceptibility to HIV acquisition. Her work has been published in many peer-reviewed journals and books and has been presented nationally. </p><p>In 2015, she received the Linda Bell Award for Advocacy in HIV/AIDS presented by the North Carolina Community AIDS Fund. The following year, she received the Emerald Award for Contributions in Health and Human Services from LINKS, Inc. Dr. Collins-Ogle was selected to serve on the President's Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS for the Obama administration 2014-2016. </p><p>Dr. Collins-Ogle is a member of a number of professional societies, including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of HIV Medicine and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.</p>
