<p>Jelena Pavlovic, MD, PhD &nbsp;is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Pavlovic earned her B.S. from Ramapo College of New Jersey where she double majored in Biology and Chemistry while on full academic scholarship.&nbsp; She completed her MD and PhD in Molecular Medicine at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine.&nbsp; She was an intern in internal medicine at St. Vincent&rsquo;s Hospital in New York City and a neurology resident at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center, where she was also a Chief Resident. She subsequently continued her training as a fellow in Headache Medicine and Facial Pain at the Montefiore Headache Center.</p>
<p>Dr. Pavlovic is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), the American Headache Society (AHS), and the International Headache Society (IHS). &nbsp;In addition to prior awards, she received the AHS&rsquo;s "Frontiers in Headache Research" scholarship in 2012.</p>

<p>Puja Patel, MD, is an attending physician at Montefiore Einstein and Associate Professor, Neurology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Patel's clinical focus is pediatric epilepsy, although she also sees patients with general pediatric neurological issues, including headaches, movement disorders, sleep concerns and developmental delay.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in biology from Barnard College in 2005, Dr. Patel earned her Doctor of Medicine at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in 2009. She completed her internship and residency in pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2011. Following this, Dr. Patel came to Montefiore Einstein to continue her medical training, completing her pediatric neurology residency in 2014, a clinical neurophysiology fellowship in 2015 and a behavioral neurosciences fellowship in 2016.</p><p>Dr. Patel&rsquo;s research focuses on clinical seizure prediction in the pediatric population. She has been co-investigator in several clinical drug trials investigating new anti-seizure medications. Her work has been shared through invited presentations and peer-reviewed journals, books, chapters, review articles and abstracts. <p>Raminder Parihar, MD, is Director, Neuromodulation at Montefiore Einstein and Assistant Professor, Neurology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Parihar evaluates and treats patients with different movement disorders. She is also largely involved in evaluating patients for candidacy for deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery for the treatment of different movement disorders and initiating and following up stimulation programming.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences from the City College of New York in 2007, Dr. Parihar completed her Doctor of Medicine at Stony Brook University School of Medicine in 2009. She then came to Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she completed an internship in medicine in 2010 and her residency in adult neurology in 2013, where she was Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Parihar completed a fellowship in movement disorders at Harvard/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2014.</p><p>Dr. Parihar&rsquo;s research focuses on gait disorders and how they can predict cognitive impairment in patients with Parkinson's disease. She also studies the impact of deep brain stimulation in improving the quality of life in patients with movement disorders. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed book chapters and publications, and she has shared her work through lectures and platform and abstract presentations.</p><p>Dr. Parihar is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. <p>Solomon L. Mosh&eacute;, MD, is Vice Chair of Neurology, Director of the Isabelle Rapin Child Neurology Division and Director of Clinical Neurophysiology at Montefiore. He is also the Charles Frost Chair in Neurosurgery and Neurology, Vice Chair, Saul R. Korey Department of Neurology, and Professor of Neurology, Neuroscience and Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein). Dr. Mosh&eacute;&rsquo;s clinical focus is on epilepsy and electroencephalography with special emphasis on age-related influences on the expression, control and consequences of seizures.</p><p>After receiving his Doctor of Medicine from the National University of Athens School of Medicine in Greece in 1972, Dr. Mosh&eacute; began his post-doctoral training at the University Hospital of Maryland. He completed his internship and residency there in pediatrics in 1975. Following this, he pursued a pediatric neurology fellowship at Einstein from 1975 to 1978. He was a visiting epilepsy research fellow at the University of California Los Angeles in 1978, then completed a neurology and neuroscience research fellowship at Einstein in 1979. He was a guest scholar with the EEG department at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center from 1980 to 198, and with the seizure unit at Children&rsquo;s Hospital in Boston in 1980.</p><p>Dr. Mosh&eacute;&rsquo;s research focuses on understanding the mechanisms underlying differences in epilepsy in humans and animal models. His laboratory has developed and patented a novel model of human infantile spasms that can be used to identify novel treatments of this devastating condition. He also investigates the consequences of prolonged seizures and methods to accelerate the development of disease modifying or prevention therapies for post-traumatic epilepsy. His extensive body of work has been shared nationally and internationally through peer-reviewed publications, lectures and conferences. He is a member on several editorial boards including Neurobiology of Disease, Pediatric Neurology, Epileptic Disorders, and the Journal of Neurology & Psychology.</p><p>Dr. Mosh&eacute; has been recognized with numerous national and international honors and awards, including a 1995 Jacob Javits Neuroscience Investigator Award from the National Institute of Health, the first 2012 Saul R. Korey Award in Translational Science and Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine; the 2017 Bernard Sachs Award from the Child Neurology Society, and election as a foreign member of the Russian Academy of Science in 2017. He is a member of many professional societies including the American Academy of Neurology, the Child Neurology Society, the American Epilepsy Society and the American Association for Advancement of Science.</p>
