Tamar Rubinstein
<p>Tamar Rubinstein, MD, MS, is a Pediatric Rheumatologist at Children's Hospital at Montefiore and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is the treatment of children, adolescents and young adults with complex rheumatologic diseases, with a special interest in leading multidisciplinary care of patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).</p>
<p>Dr. Rubinstein obtained her Medical Doctorate and Master of Science in Clinical Research Methods at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After completing her residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Rubinstein went on to complete her fellowship training in Pediatric Rheumatology at Children's Hospital at Montefiore in 2016.</p>
<p>Dr. Rubinstein has authored numerous publications and continues to actively propose new lines of research with hopes to improve the mental health and SLE disease outcomes in youth. She is an active member of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA) and a leader of the CARRA Mental Health Workgroup. Dr. Rubinstein is a recipient of the Lupus Foundation of America Career Development Award, the Rheumatology Research Foundation K-Bridge Award, and has received additional funding from CARRA and the Arthritis Foundation for her research. She is currently a lead investigator in the Einstein Pediatric Lupus Cohort.</p>

After completing her residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Rubinstein then went on to complete her fellowship training in Pediatric Rheumatology at Children's Hospital at Montefiore in 2016</p><p>Dr. Rubinstein has authored numerous publications and continues to actively propose new lines of research with hopes to improve the mental health and SLE disease outcomes in youth. <p>Dr. Regelmann is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. She formerly held the same position at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she established herself for clinical excellence, being named a New York Rising Stars Super Doctor and Castle Connolly Top Doctor.</p><p>Dr. Regelmann graduated magna cum laude with high honors in research from Cornell University. She received her medical education at New York University. She completed residency training in general pediatrics and fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.</p>
Konstantinos Loupasakis
<p>Konstantinos Loupasakis, MD, is an attending rheumatologist at Montefiore Einstein and Rheumatology Fellowship Program Director and Associate Professor, Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Loupasakis sees patients with a wide range of rheumatologic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus and multisystem sarcoidosis.</p><p>In 2007, Dr. Loupasakis earned his medical doctorate at University of Crete in Greece. He later came to the United States to further his medical training, completing his medical residency at Steward St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine in 2012, followed by his rheumatology fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery, Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University in 2015 and a yearlong research fellowship at the same institution in 2016.</p><p>Dr. Loupasakis' research focus includes multisystem sarcoidosis, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and medical education. He is a certified facilitator, teaching relationship-centered communication in healthcare, and is particularly interested in optimization of the patient-physician relationship. Dr. Loupasakis has shared his work through peer-reviewed journals, abstracts, poster presentations and invited national and regional presentations. He is also a reviewer for scientific rheumatology journals.</p><p>Dr. Loupasakis is board certified in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Rheumatology. Dr. Loupasakis has been twice recognized at Montefiore Einstein for his outstanding service and teaching, receiving an award in 2022 for his inpatient consult service and in 2024 for his outpatient service.</p>

Tamara Gomez Kalhan
<p>Tamara Kalhan, MD, FAAP, is Medical Director, Low Birthweight Evaluation and Assessment Program (LEAP) Clinic and Director, Neonatal Education, Wakefield Division at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Course Director, Medicine Electives in Neonatology and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is on neonatal outcomes for premature infants, low birth weight infants and infants requiring extended Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) hospitalizations.</p><p>Dr. Kalhan earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2009 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency in 2012 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Columbia University, where she was Chief Fellow in her final year of training in 2015.</p><p>Dr. Kalhan’s research interests and expertise include improving follow-up care and neonatal outcomes in high-risk infant populations, with an emphasis on early detection of cerebral palsy. She has been co-investigator on research projects and has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, review articles and case reports, abstracts, platform presentations and poster presentations.</p><p>Dr. Kalhan is board certified in General Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.</p>
