<p>Lili Zhang, MD, is Director, Cardio-Oncology Program and Assistant Professor, Cardiology at Montefiore Einstein. A non-invasive cardiologist and a cardiac imaging specialist, Dr. Zhang&rsquo;s clinical focus is in Cardio-Oncology, cardiomyopathy, general cardiology, echocardiography and multimodality cardiac imaging.</p><p>In 2007, Dr. Zhang earned her Doctor of Medicine degree at Peking University, Beijing, China. Further education and postdoctoral training brought her to the U.S., completing her Master of Science in Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in 2011. She then came to Einstein, completing her residency in internal medicine in 2015 and her fellowship in cardiology in 2018. In 2019, Dr. Zhang completed her fellowship in Cardio-Oncology and cardiac imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital.</p><p>Dr. Zhang&rsquo;s research focuses on cardiotoxicity of cancer therapy, immune checkpoint inhibitor myocarditis, cardiovascular care and the application of multimodality imaging and machine-learning techniques in cardiovascular disease. She has shared her work through more than 60 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and abstract publications.</p><p>Dr. Zhang is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. <p>Nicole Jampol Sutton, MD, is Division Chief, Pediatric Cardiology, Director, Invasive Cardiology, Director, Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Program, and Interim Codirector, Pediatric Heart Center at Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore. She is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Sutton&rsquo;s clinical focus is on congenital heart disease, pediatric interventional cardiology, pediatric pulmonary hypertension and adult congenital heart disease.</p><p>After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in 1994, Dr. Sutton attended New York University Medical School, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 1998. She began her postdoctoral training with a three-year pediatric residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children&rsquo;s Hospital, which she completed in 2001. <p>Jooyoung Julia Shin, MD, is Fellowship Director, Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship Program and Associate Professor, Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Shin&rsquo;s clinical focus centers on heart failure, cardiac transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in 1994, Dr. Shin earned her Doctor of Medicine at George Washington University in 1999. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland in 2002 before completing a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Emory University in 2005. Following this, Dr. Shin remained at Emory to complete an additional fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology in 2006.</p><p>Dr. Shin&rsquo;s research focuses on fellow education. <p class="MsoNormal">Theresa Serra, MD, joined the CHAM hospitalist division in 2014 after working as a pediatric hospitalist at New York Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital. Her interests include clinical research and medical education. She has conducted an IRB approved retrospective chart review examining readmission rates in pediatric patients diagnosed with osteomyelitis. Dr. Serra is currently developing a medical Spanish curriculum for faculty members in order to improve communication between patients, families and providers. Along with Courtney McNamara, MD, Dr. Serra is a co-leader of a multidisciplinary committee dedicated to standardizing and improving quality of care for patients hospitalized with the diagnosis of failure to thrive. Dr. Serra is also working on an initiative to identify vaccine delinquency in the inpatient setting through the use of SMART reports.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Dr. Serra is also collaborating with Lindsey Douglas, MD, MSCR, in an IRB approved quality improvement (QI) project to improve transition-of-care communication between hospitalists and primary care providers and to facilitate the establishment of medical homes.
