<p>Neil D. Herbsman, MD, FAGA, FACP, is an attending physician and Clinical Assistant Professor, Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Herbsman’s clinical focus is in colon cancer screening, peptic ulcer disease, diverticular disease, reflux, colonoscopy, endoscopy and diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines and colon.</p><p>After receiving his Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1985, Dr. Herbsman attended Mount Sinai School of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 1989. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1992, and his gastroenterology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering in 1995.</p><p>Dr. Herbsman’s research focuses on colon cancer screening. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals.</p><p>Dr. Herbsman is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association and the American College of Physicians. He is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and the New York State Medical Society. In 2015, he was the president of the Bronx County Medical Society.</p>

<p>Joseph Frager, MD, is an Attending Physician in Gastroenterology and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Frager specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the colon and upper gastrointestinal tract including colon polyps, diverticulitis, peptic ulcer disease, gastroesophageal reflux and gallstones.</p><p>After earning his Doctor of Medicine from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1980, Dr. Frager came to Montefiore for his postgraduate training. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency in 1983, followed by his fellowship in gastroenterology in 1985.</p><p>Dr. Frager’s research focus is on the immunology of the gastrointestinal tract. He has shared his work through peer-reviewed journals and abstracts.</p><p>Dr. Frager is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association and the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.</p>
Antonio C. Fojas, Jr.
<p>Dr. Antonio Fojas obtained his MD from De La Salle University College of Medicine in the Philippines. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the Bronx and was a General Medicine Fellow and Chief Medical Resident at the same institution.</p><p>After completing his fellowship, Dr. Fojas was appointed Chief of General Medicine Ambulatory Clinic until 2003. Since December 2006 he has been an Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Program at Our lady of Mercy Medical Center and now Montefiore Medical Center-Wakefield Campus.</p><p>Dr. Fojas' major interest is Primary Care Medicine both in-patient and out-patient.</p>
