He completed his residency at Columbia University Medical Center, an internship at St. Luke&rsquo;s-Roosevelt Hospital Center during his first year of residency, and a fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery.</p><p><em>New York</em> magazine has recognized Dr. Kulick as a &ldquo;Best Doctor&rdquo; in New York and America.</p>

<p>Dr. Kobets is an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and an Attending Pediatric and Adult Neurosurgeon in the Montefiore Health System. Dr. Kobets received his Medical Doctorate and Master of Health Science degrees from the Yale School of Medicine and completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Kobets is the first in his family born in the United States and is from Queens, NY. His family is Ukrainian with roots in Siberia as well. Dr. Kobets' practice is focused on a patient- and family-centered approach, utilizing the most advanced neurosurgical technologies via minimally-invasive procedures to treat the most complex neurosurgical conditions in both children and adults. Doctor Kobets has offices throughout the Bronx and Westchester.</p>

<p>Andrew Joshua Kobets, MD, is Attending Physician at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Kobets specializes in pediatric neurological surgery with a focus on minimally invasive tumor resection, neuro-endoscopy for hydrocephalus, craniofacial reconstruction, Chiari malformation surgery, tethered cord syndrome repair, and pediatric cranial trauma management.</p><p>In 2005, Dr. Kobets received his Bachelor of Arts in systems neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. From 2007 to 2012, he attended Yale University. During this time, he received his Master of Health Sciences and Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Kobets began his postgraduate training in 2012 at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and continued to train there until 2019. He began with a year-long internship in neurological surgery. He then completed a 6-year residency in neurological surgery, becoming Chief Resident in the final year. In 2019, Dr. Kobets began a year-long fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.</p><p>Dr. Kobets&rsquo; research aims to develop a model of hydrocephalus secondary to intraventricular hemorrhage to trial the use of cutting-edge therapies to prevent life-long shunt dependence in children with hydrocephalus. His work has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals, books and abstracts, and has been presented internationally at invited presentations.</p><p>The Norma Bailey Berniker Prize was given to Dr. Kobets by the Yale School of Medicine in 2012. <p>Tamara Kalhan, MD, FAAP, is Medical Director, Low Birthweight Evaluation and Assessment Program (LEAP) Clinic and Director, Neonatal Education, Wakefield Division at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein and Course Director, Medicine Electives in Neonatology and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is on neonatal outcomes for premature infants, low birth weight infants and infants requiring extended Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) hospitalizations.</p><p>Dr. Kalhan earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2009 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency in 2012 at St. Louis Children&rsquo;s Hospital, followed by a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Columbia University, where she was Chief Fellow in her final year of training in 2015.</p><p>Dr. Kalhan&rsquo;s research interests and expertise include improving follow-up care and neonatal outcomes in high-risk infant populations, with an emphasis on early detection of cerebral palsy. <p></p>Mani Kahn, MD, is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of injuries to the upper and lower extremities as well as to the pelvis. He has a particular interest in treating periarticular fractures, fractures of the pelvis and acetabulum, performing complex limb reconstruction, and the correction of failed or infected fractures.<br /><br />Dr. Kahn attended the University of Maryland for his undergraduate degree, where he pursued research in biochemistry and was awarded several research fellowships, including the Rollinson Fellowship and the famed Howard Hughes Medical Institute's fellowship. He went on to obtain a Masters of Science in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University. Dr. Kahn continued his studies at New York Medical College, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine and Masters in Public Health. Dr. Kahn completed his residency training at Montefiore Medical Center. While a resident, he received two of the highest awards given to residents: the Anatomy Award and the Richard Selznick Memorial Research Award.<br /><br />Following his residency, Dr. Kahn continued his training at Duke University with a fellowship in trauma surgery, where he received an AOTrauma research fellowship. He was also privileged to continue his training with two sought-after traveling fellowships. Dr. Kahn received a travelling fellowship award in limb lengthening and reconstructive surgery, and he travelled across the country to work with the best limb reconstruction surgeons in the world. He was also selected as the recipient of the prestigious Jack McDaniel AO Travelling Fellowship, and studied under the guidance of Dr. Marcel Jakob at University of Basel Hospital in Switzerland.<br /><br />Dr. Kahn has authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, and has been invited as faculty in a national course for the training of residents in the principles of fracture care.<p></p>

<p>Dr. Gomez moved to New York City from Bogota-Colombia after earning his medical degree from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He completed his internship and residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Columbia University where he obtained the prestigious <em>&ldquo;Rosamond Kane Award for Excellence in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery&rdquo;</em>. <p>Jaime A. Gomez, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with expertise in the nonoperative and operative treatment of scoliosis, pediatric orthopedics and spinal surgery. He has trained and applied cutting-edge, growth-friendly techniques for young children with scoliosis. He has significant interest in less invasive techniques, such as scoliosis casting, as well as the most complex deformity correction osteotomies for scoliosis in both children and adults. Dr. Gomez joined Montefiore in 2015 and serves as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Co-Director of Pediatric Orthopedic Research at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.</p><p>After earning his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia, Dr. Gomez served his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Columbia University in New York City, where he was honored with the prestigious Rosamond Kane Award for Excellence in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. He also completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at Harvard Medical School?s Boston Children?s Hospital and a spinal surgery fellowship at New York University?s Hospital for Joint Diseases.</p><p>Dr. Gomez's research is focused on clinical outcomes in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis. As a member of the largest international multicenter study group on early-onset scoliosis, the Children Spine Study Group, he has presented his research in multiple national and international conferences and has contributed to more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He is a member of several orthopedic societies, including the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America (POSNA) and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and he is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons. <p>Dr. Fuloria, Associate Program Director for the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program at The Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore, obtained her medical degree from King George&rsquo;s Medical College in Lucknow, India, and then did her pediatric residency and neonatal-perinatal medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. Upon completion of her fellowship, she joined the faculty at Wake Forest University. In 2006 she took a two-year sabbatical, during which she was a Visiting Scientist at the prestigious National Institute of Biological Sciences (of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research) in Bangalore, India. In 2010 Dr. Fuloria joined the Department of Pediatrics at Montefiore. </p><p>Dr. Fuloria is a recipient of the 2000 Physician Scientist Award from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and the 2002 C. Scott Venable Research Award in Respiratory Diseases&nbsp;awarded by the American Lung Association. She has been a member of the SPR Communications Committee and the SPR Fellows Basic Research Award (and the David G. Nathan Award) Selection Committee since 2010.</p>

<p>Eric D. Fornari, MD, is Co-Director of the Division of Pediatric Orthopedics at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein. He is the Vice Chair for Faculty Affairs for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, as well as the Well-Being Officer for the department. Dr. Fornari is also Associate Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Fornari is an orthopedic surgeon with a specialty in pediatric orthopedics. His clinical focus is on pediatric and adolescent hip disorders and sports medicine. He is passionate about patient care, clinical research and the advancement of the field of pediatric orthopedic surgery.</p><p>After completing his undergraduate training at Colgate University, Dr. Fornari went on to attend medical school at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where he graduated <em>magna cum laude</em> and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston where he was awarded the Henry H. Banks Award for the outstanding chief resident. He then went on to complete his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis at Rady Children&rsquo;s Hospital in San Diego, and later completed a fellowship in Bern, Switzerland, focusing on hip preservation surgery.</p><p>Dr. Fornari has a robust research portfolio. He is an active member of the International Perthes Study Group, serving as the Patient Reported Outcome Lead. He is also an active part of multicenter research with the International Hip Dysplasia Registry (IHDR) and SCFE Longitudinal International Prospective (SLIP) Registry, as well as the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine Society&rsquo;s (PRiSM) Hip Research Interest Groups.</p><p>Dr. Fornari joined the faculty at Montefiore Einstein and the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein in the Bronx, NY, in 2012. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He has been heavily involved with the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) since starting his practice. He previously served on the Children&rsquo;s Orthopaedics in Underdeveloped Regions (COUR) Committee and, while chair of this committee, he led the transition to the Pediatric Orthopedic Global Outreach committee. He has also served on the Communications Committee as well as the Bylaws Committee. He is a founding member of PRiSM and has been active with a number of committees and research groups within the organization. He is also an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.</p><p>In 2023, Dr. Fornari was awarded the Angela Kuo Award by POSNA for his research on the impact of mental health on adolescents undergoing scoliosis surgery. He has won numerous awards and accolades, including being chosen as the Department of Orthopedic Surgery 2017 Attending of the Year by the graduating chief residents. He was selected to be part of the inaugural cohort for the Montefiore Physician Leadership Program and subsequently completed The Health Management Academy Physician Leadership Program.</p><p>Dr. Fornari is an active volunteer, administering orthopedic surgical care and training worldwide. <p>Dr. Cuomo received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. She went on to complete a general surgery internship at Beth Israel Medical Center and an orthopedic surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. She then completed the Charles S. Neer, II, Fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center.</p><p>A prolific author and speaker, Dr. Cuomo has published more than 40 scientific articles and 20 book chapters on the diagnosis and management of shoulder disorders, and she has made over 150 national and international scientific presentations. Biography

<p>Dr. Lauren Crocco is an attending physician in orthopaedic surgery and Assistant Professor of orthopaedic surgery at Montefiore-Einstein. Dr. Crocco&rsquo;s clinical focus is on fractures and soft tissue injuries of the upper and lower extremities. These include fractures of the ankle, tibia, knee, femur, hip, wrist, forearm, elbow and humerus.&nbsp; She additionally manages soft tissue injuries of the extremities including sprains, strains and contusions. Her expertise also includes post traumatic deformity and infection.&nbsp; </p><p>After earning her Bachelor of Science in biology at Boston College in 2003, Dr. Crocco attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine for her medical school training. She earned her Doctor of Medicine in 2008 and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.&nbsp; She began her post graduate training at Montefiore Einstein completing an orthopaedic surgery residency in 2013. She then went on to Brigham and Women&rsquo;s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital to complete her Harvard orthopaedic trauma surgery fellowship. Finally, she completed a prestigious AO traveling trauma fellowship in Berlin, Germany in 2015. </p><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:'Calibri',sans-serif;">Dr. Crocco&rsquo;s research areas of interest focus on the management of geriatric hip fractures as well as resident education. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span>
