<p>Richard Lucariello, MD, is Clinical Director, Non-Invasive Cardiology at the Wakefield Campus of Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical interests include clinical cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.</p><p>Dr. Lucariello earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at Fordham University in 1979, followed by his Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College in 1984. He began his postdoctoral training at Westchester County Medical Center, completing a medicine internship in 1985 and a two-year medicine residency in 1987. He then completed a cardiology fellowship at St. Vincent’s Hospital & Medical Center in 1989 before returning to Westchester County Medical Center to complete a nuclear cardiology fellowship in 1990.</p><p>Following his clinical interests, Dr. Lucariello’s research focuses primarily on echocardiography. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and abstracts.</p><p>Dr. Lucariello is actively involved in educating medical residents and cardiology fellows at the Wakefield campus, and was awarded the Program Director’s Training Award for Cardiology for the 2011–2012 academic year. He is board certified and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.</p>
<p><span>Dr. Levy graduated from SUNY Binghamton and earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. He was an assistant resident in General Surgery at Metropolitan Hospital Center, Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery at Montefiore and Fellow in the Sports Medicine Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Levy is Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon at Montefiore. He was the Director of the Sports Medicine Service from 1983-1990 and chief of the service in 2001.</span></p>

<p>Martin Levy, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopy. He is also an expert in anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and revision of failed ACL surgery. Dr. Levy is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine as well as the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program Director. His experience is extensive, notably in arthroscopy and meniscus surgery, including meniscal repair, arthroscopic stabilization of shoulder instability, arthroscopic repair of SLAP injuries and other shoulder maladies in athletes, and arthroscopic and open solutions for patellar instability.</p><p>He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College. He was an assistant resident in general surgery at Metropolitan Hospital Center, Chief Resident in Orthopedic Surgery at Montefiore and fellow in the Sports Medicine Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery.</p><p>Dr. Levy’s early research focused on soft tissue biomechanics and injury epidemiology. More recently, he has concentrated on optimizing the surgical skills of orthopedic surgery residents using operant learning methodologies. He has created a surgical skills program for teaching the behaviors needed to use orthopedic tools fluently.</p>

<p>Benjamin J. Levy, MD, is Assistant Director, Orthopaedic Research and Assistant Professor, Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Levy specializes in orthopedic sports medicine, specifically arthroscopic surgery of the knee, with a particular interest in patellofemoral conditions, as well as the shoulder, elbow and ankle. Dr. Levy pursued an adult and pediatric sports medicine fellowship at the University of Connecticut, completing it in 2020. During that time, he served as the team physician fellow for the University of Connecticut and Quinnipiac University D-1 athletic programs.</p><p>Dr. Levy has a passion for research and teaching, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters in the field of sports medicine, with publications in the <em>American Journal of Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy</em>, the <em>Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery</em> and many others. Dr. Levy is a recipient of several academic awards for research, including the Arciero-Warner Research Award from the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society. He is an “Emerging Leader” in the American Orthopaedic Association.</p>

Levin, MD, joined Montefiore and our Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2004 and is the Vice Chair of the Department of Orthopedics as well as the Director of the Department of Orthopedics, Moses Campus. At Einstein, he serves as Professor of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a board-certified orthopedic specialist with expertise in general orthopedics, the nonoperative management of musculoskeletal conditions, fracture surgery and complications of fractures.<br /><br />He received his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 1980 and completed his orthopedic residency at Montefiore in 1985. He subsequently completed a fellowship in orthopedic traumatology at the University of Texas and a second fellowship in fracture care at the Kantosspital in Basel, Switzerland.<br /><br />Dr. Levin teaches classes in bioethics and a course in Patients, Doctors and Communities, both of which focus on collaboration among patients and professionals regarding healthcare delivery. Known for exploring treatment options with his patients along with the desire to identify a strategy for successful care without surgical intervention, he has been called on to lecture on patient-clinician communication and surgical safety. Dr. Levin is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and chairman of the organization's Committee on Ethics and Lectures.<p> </p>

<p>Javier Ariel Laurini, MD, is Associate Professor, Pathology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Laurini's clinical focus is on the study of tissue to diagnose inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the breast, gynecologic tract and bone and soft tissues.</p>
<p>After earning his Doctor of Medicine in 1995 from the University Of Salvador, School Of Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Dr. Laurini completed a residency in anatomic pathology in 1999 at the Center of Medical Education and Clinical Investigations (CEMIC) in Buenos Aires. Following this, he completed a three-month internship in hematopathology service at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Laurini became Administrative Chief Resident in the department of pathology at CEMIC for one year before completing a surgical pathology fellowship at British Hospital in Buenos Aires in 2002. He then became a visiting clinician in the Department of Pathology, Mayo Clinic in Rochester before undergoing a combined anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine, which he completed in 2010. Dr. Laurini then finished a fellowship in surgical pathology at the Mayo Clinic in 2011 before completing another fellowship in hematopathology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2012.</p>
<p>Dr. Laurini's research focus follows his clinical interests in breast and gynecologic pathology. His work has been published in numerous original communications and peer-reviewed journals, articles and abstracts.</p>
<p>Dr. Laurini is board certified in Hematology and Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board Of Pathology. He is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology. He is also part of the Mayo Clinic Alumni Association. Dr. Laurini has won multiple faculty teaching awards from the University of South Alabama and Wake Forest School of Medicine. In 2022 he won the Attending Teaching Award from Einstein.</p>
<p>Dr Kulick is Director of the Orthopaedic Hand Service at Montefiore Medical Center. He has a special interest in reconstructive hand surgery, arthritis,Dupuytren's disease nerve compression, including carpal tunnel syndrome. He attended Cornell University Medical College, and trained at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, and The Hospital For Special Surgery. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and holds the sub-specialy Certificate of Added Qualifications for Surgery of the Hand.</p>

<p>Roy G. Kulick, MD, Director of Hand and Upper Extremity surgery, specializes in reconstructive hand surgery, arthritis, Dupuytren’s disease and nerve compression, including carpal tunnel syndrome. He is board certified and holds a Sub-Specialty Certificate of Added Qualification for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Kulick also serves as an Associate Professor at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine.</p><p>Dr. Kulick received his bachelor’s degree from New York University and his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College. Wilson Award for Outstanding Fellowship Research.</p>
<p>Dr. Kim is Chief of the Arthroplasty Service at Montefiore Medical Center and the Clinical Director of the Joint Replacement Center. Dr. Kim is well published, and a recognized expert in his field. His interests include minimally invasive hip and knee surgery, primary and complex joint reconstruction. He is fluent in both Spanish, and Korean.</p>

<p>Jinu Kim, MD, is Chief, Neuroanesthesia and Assistant Professor, Anesthesiology at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Kim’s clinical focus is in neuroanesthesia, pediatric neuroanesthesia, pediatric scoliosis anesthesia and interventional neuroradiology.</p><p>In 1993, Dr. Kim received his Bachelor of Arts from Harvard College. He went to State University of New York Downstate Medical Center for his medical education, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 1997. He began his postdoctoral training at New York University Hospital, completing his internship and general surgery residency in 2000. He later pursued his anesthesiology residency at Brookdale Hospital, completing it in 2007. He followed this with a neuroanesthesia fellowship at Roosevelt Hospital.</p><p>Dr. Kim’s research focuses on intraoperative thrombolysis during spine surgery, anesthesia for pituitary surgery and intraoperative monitoring of motor-evoked potentials.
