Biography

Jill P. Crandall, MD, is Professor and Jacob A. and Jeanne E. Barkey Chair in Medicine and Chief, Division of Endocrinology at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus is on the treatment of types 1 and type 2 diabetes as well as related metabolic disorders.

In 1975, Dr. Crandall received her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology at State University of New York at Binghamton. She received her Bachelor of Science in health services (physician assistant program) in 1977 at State University of New York at Stony Brook, earning highest school honors. In 1988, she earned her Doctor of Medicine at State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn, and began her postgraduate training the same year with an internship and residency at Presbyterian Hospital, completing it in 1991.
