Biography

<p>Rishi Malhotra, MD, is Director of Neurocritical Care, Director of the Neuroscience ICU and Director of the Neurocritical Care Fellowship, as well as Associate Professor of Neurology, Medicine and Neurological Surgery at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Malhotra&rsquo;s clinical focus includes the critical care management of subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, acute spinal cord injury, ischemic stroke, status epilepticus, brain tumors, neuromuscular respiratory failure and central nervous system infections.</p><p>A graduate of the combined BA/MD program at Brooklyn College, Dr. Malhotra completed his Doctor of Medicine with State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center in 2004. After completing his internal medicine internship at St. Luke&rsquo;s-Roosevelt Hospital in 2005, Dr. Malhotra completed his three-year neurology residency at Columbia University Medical Center in 2008. He then pursued a neurocritical care fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center, which he completed in 2010.</p><p>Dr. Malhotra&rsquo;s scholarly interests include intracerebral hemorrhage, hypoxic-ischemic brain injury and status epilepticus. He has shared his work through peer-reviewed journals, books, abstracts and poster presentations.</p><p>Dr. Malhotra is board certified in Neurology and Neurocritical Care. <p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">Dr. Leung graduated from SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn in 2005 and completed her internal medicine residency and critical-care medicine fellowship training at Monfefiore Medical Center. In 2009, house staff selected her as Fellow of the Year. In 2010, she was recruited to join the faculty and was supported by her division for the AECOM master&rsquo;s program in clinical research methods because of her interest in comparative effectiveness, cost, and outcome research. She further pursued her Executive MHA at Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, graduated in 2014.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">Dr. Leung became the associate director of critical care medicine for clinical operations and the medical director of the critical care physician assistant program in 2016. Her focus was to employ Lean Six Sigma methodology for process improvement, to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment strategies, to study health-care utilization and costs, and to evaluate physician compensation and productivity.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">In 2019, Dr. Leung became the medical director for strategic initiatives for the medical center, managing the Triple Aim program and other operational projects. Seeing the bigger picture in health care and within the health system, she realized that relentless focus on value creation and delivery is the prerequisite of achieving the quadruple aim of health care. </span></p>

Dr. Keltz is interested in the full breadth of clinical cardiology in adolescents and adults, from risk factor assessment and treatment, to the care of symptoms and diseases. He brings a special expertise in the integration of bedside care with noninvasive imaging.

Biography

<p>Dr. Keltz received his BS with honors in Biology, magna cum laude, and his MD in the accelerated 6 year Biomedical Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College of Union University. He was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical school honor society, in the autumn of his junior year in medical school.</p><p>Dr. Keltz did an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mt Sinai Hospital and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Montefiore Medical Center. He then joined the late Drs. Julian Frieden, Jerome Cooper, and. Bernard Gitler in cardiology practice in New Rochelle. The practice became Westchester Heart Specialists and included Dr. Michael Johnson and Dr. Donald Miller. He cared for patients at New Rochelle Hospital, Montefiore Medical Center, and Columbia University Medical Center. In 2012 Westchester Heart Specialists became a part of Montefiore Medical Center.</p><p>Dr. Keltz was awarded the the Elmer Schacht Award for Microbiology in medical school and the Montefiore Medical Center House Staff Award for Excellence in Teaching and Patient Care in 1987.</p><p>Dr. Keltz is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Adult Echocardiography.</p><p>Dr. Keltz served on the Board of Directors, American Heart Association, Westchester-Putnam Region from 1995-2007 and as president from 2000-2006.</p><p>Dr. Keltz is currently the President of the Medical Board of Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital.</p>
