<p>Sheri L. Nemerofsky, MD, FAAP, is Director, Newborn Services and Associate Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Nemerofsky&rsquo;s clinical focus centers on newborn care and respiratory and nutritional needs.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Muhlenberg College in 1994, Dr. Nemerofsky earned her Doctor of Medicine at the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten in 1999. She was a pediatric dermatology research associate at the University of Miami until 2000, before completing her pediatrics internship at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001. Dr. Nemerofsky remained at this institution to complete her pediatrics residency in 2003. Following this, she completed a neonatal-perinatal fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2006.</p><p>Dr. Nemerofsky&rsquo;s research focuses on quality improvement, safety and healthcare disparities. She has shared her work through numerous national and international presentations and peer- reviewed publications. Dr. Nemerofsky is also a reviewer for the <em>American Journal of Perinatology</em>, the <em>American Journal of Preventive Medicine</em>, the <em>Journal of Perinatology and Pediatrics</em>.</p><p>Dr. Nemerofsky is board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Academic Pediatric Association, the Society for Pediatric Research and the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee of Coding and Nomenclature. In 2023, Dr. Nemerofsky won the Award for Outstanding Poster Presentation from Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore, and Second Place Abstract Presentation at the 2023 Montefiore Wakefield Interprofessional Research and Quality Improvement Symposium.</p>

<p>Richard Lucariello, MD, is Clinical Director, Non-Invasive Cardiology at the Wakefield Campus of Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical interests include clinical cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.</p><p>Dr. Lucariello earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at Fordham University in 1979, followed by his Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College in 1984. He began his postdoctoral training at Westchester County Medical Center, completing a medicine internship in 1985 and a two-year medicine residency in 1987. He then completed a cardiology fellowship at St. Vincent&rsquo;s Hospital &amp; Medical Center in 1989 before returning to Westchester County Medical Center to complete a nuclear cardiology fellowship in 1990.</p><p>Following his clinical interests, Dr. Lucariello&rsquo;s research focuses primarily on echocardiography. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and abstracts.</p><p>Dr. Lucariello is actively involved in educating medical residents and cardiology fellows at the Wakefield campus, and was awarded the Program Director&rsquo;s Training Award for Cardiology for the 2011&ndash;2012 academic year. He is board certified and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.</p>

<p>Andrew Joshua Kobets, MD, is Attending Physician at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Kobets specializes in pediatric neurological surgery with a focus on minimally invasive tumor resection, neuro-endoscopy for hydrocephalus, craniofacial reconstruction, Chiari malformation surgery, tethered cord syndrome repair, and pediatric cranial trauma management.</p><p>In 2005, Dr. Kobets received his Bachelor of Arts in systems neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. From 2007 to 2012, he attended Yale University. During this time, he received his Master of Health Sciences and Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Kobets began his postgraduate training in 2012 at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and continued to train there until 2019. He began with a year-long internship in neurological surgery. He then completed a 6-year residency in neurological surgery, becoming Chief Resident in the final year. In 2019, Dr. Kobets began a year-long fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.</p><p>Dr. Kobets&rsquo; research aims to develop a model of hydrocephalus secondary to intraventricular hemorrhage to trial the use of cutting-edge therapies to prevent life-long shunt dependence in children with hydrocephalus. His work has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals, books and abstracts, and has been presented internationally at invited presentations.</p><p>The Norma Bailey Berniker Prize was given to Dr. Kobets by the Yale School of Medicine in 2012. In 2018, Dr. Kobets received the Fred Epstein Award from the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery. The following year, he received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Outstanding Medical Student Education.</p><p>Dr. Kobets is a member of numerous professional societies, including the AANS/CNS Section on Pediatric Neurological Surgery, the American Academy of Neurological Surgery, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery. </p>

<p>Dr. Keltz received his BS with honors in Biology, magna cum laude, and his MD in the accelerated 6 year Biomedical Program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College of Union University. He was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical school honor society, in the autumn of his junior year in medical school.</p><p>Dr. Keltz did an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mt Sinai Hospital and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Montefiore Medical Center. He then joined the late Drs. Julian Frieden, Jerome Cooper, and. Bernard Gitler in cardiology practice in New Rochelle. The practice became Westchester Heart Specialists and included Dr. Michael Johnson and Dr. Donald Miller. He cared for patients at New Rochelle Hospital, Montefiore Medical Center, and Columbia University Medical Center. In 2012 Westchester Heart Specialists became a part of Montefiore Medical Center.</p><p>Dr. Keltz was awarded the the Elmer Schacht Award for Microbiology in medical school and the Montefiore Medical Center House Staff Award for Excellence in Teaching and Patient Care in 1987.</p><p>Dr. Keltz is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Adult Echocardiography.</p><p>Dr. Keltz served on the Board of Directors, American Heart Association, Westchester-Putnam Region from 1995-2007 and as president from 2000-2006.</p><p>Dr. Keltz is currently the President of the Medical Board of Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital.</p>
