<p><span style="font-family: Arial;">David Myland Kaufman, Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, was graduated from the medical school of the University of Chicago and completed training in internal medicine and then neurology at Montefiore Medical Center / Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) hospitals.&nbsp; During his residency, Dr. Kaufman originated the nation-wide course, which he still directs, Clinical Neurology for Psychiatrists.&nbsp; More than 25,500 psychiatry residents and attendings have attended the course, which has served as the basis for his classic textbook, <em>Clinical Neurology for Psychiatrists</em>, (Elsevier) currently in its eighth edition and available in Italian, Japanese, and Spanish translations. He is also a co-editor of <em>Child and Adolescent Neurology for Psychiatrists</em> (Lippincott).</span></p>

<p>David Kaufman, MD, an attending physician and Professor of Neurology and of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Einstein, concentrates on the neurologic aspects of psychiatric illness and movement disorders. He provides neurology consultations for in-patients and out-patients, serves as the attending on consultation and ward rounds, and supervises neurology clinics at Montefiore Einstein. He works closely with psychiatrists and, for botulinum treatment of certain dystopias, the neuromuscular group.</p><p>After earning his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rochester in 1964, Dr. Kaufman earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Chicago School of Medicine in 1968. He pursued his postdoctoral training at Montefiore, completing his internal medicine internship and residency in 1971. In 1975, he completed the four-year neurology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine hospitals. He has been a steadfast member of Montefiore and Einstein communities ever since.</p><p>From his research interests, Dr. Kaufman has published clinical studies of central nervous system infections, heroin overdose-induced pulmonary edema, COVID&rsquo;s effect on Parkinson disease patients, and other topics. <p>Dr. Herskovitz is Professor of Clinical Neurology and Director of the EMG Lab / Neuromuscular division. He earned his medical degree from Cornell University Medical Center in 1980. <p>Steven Herskovitz, MD, is Director, Neuromuscular Medicine and Director, Electromyography (EMG) Lab at Montefiore. He is also Professor of Neurology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Herskovitz&rsquo;s clinical focus is on the evaluation and management of all neuromuscular disorders, with a particular interest in electrodiagnostic and neuromuscular ultrasound assessment.</p><p>In 1976, Dr. Herskovitz received his Bachelor of Science in biology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He then attended Cornell University Medical College, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 1980. From 1980 to 1987, Dr. Herskovitz completed his postgraduate training at Montefiore. During this time, he spent his first year as a medical intern and next two years as a medical resident. In 1983, he began a three-year neurology residency, becoming Chief Resident in the final year. He ended his postgraduate training with a fellowship in Electromyography and Neuromuscular Diseases.</p><p>Expanding on his clinical focus, Dr. Herskovitz&rsquo;s research centers on clinical, electrodiagnostic and neuromuscular ultrasound assessment of neuropathies. <p>Samuel Gorstein, MD, is Director, Resident Education, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein (CHAM) and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Biography

<p>Dr. Antonio Fojas obtained his MD from De La Salle University College of Medicine in the Philippines. He&nbsp;completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center in the Bronx and was a General Medicine Fellow and Chief Medical Resident at the same institution.</p><p>After completing his fellowship, Dr. Fojas was appointed Chief of General Medicine Ambulatory Clinic until 2003. Since December 2006 he has been an Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Program at Our lady of Mercy Medical Center and now Montefiore Medical Center-Wakefield Campus.</p><p>Dr. Fojas' major interest is Primary Care Medicine both in-patient and out-patient.</p>

<p>Dr. Ezzati is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. His research interest is in epidemiology, clinical trial design and development of digital health technology.&nbsp; Dr. Ezzati is the recipient of Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association Clinician Scientist Fellowship (AACSF) award.&nbsp; In his research, Dr. Ezzati uses big-data from cohorts and clinical trials, and apply advanced statistical methods and Machine Learning techniques to develop predictive and diagnostic tools to improve prognosis prediction and make early diagnosis more accurate for chronic Neurological diseases such as dementia.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Dr. Lewis A. Eisen's research interests include critical care outcomes based research and education research, with specific research interests and clinical expertise in ultrasound, simulation training and airway training.</p>
<p>Dr. Eisen completed his undergraduate work at Johns Hopkins University and graduated from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed residency, including a year as chief medical resident, at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. He then did a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Beth Israel as well. Since graduating from fellowship in 2007 he has been a member of the faculty at Einstein/Montefiore, where he is currently Chief of Clinical Affairs. House staff selected him as Outstanding Subspecialty Attending of the Year four times. He is Professor of Medicine.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Dr. Eisen is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts. His clinical and research interests include simulation training, critical care ultrasound and crew resource management. He has served as faculty for many regional and national critical care ultrasound courses sponsored by the Greater New York Hospital Foundation and the American College of Chest Physicians.</p>
