<p>Courtney McNamara, MD, is Associate Program Director, Pediatric Residency Program at the Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore Einstein (CHAM) and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Her clinical focus is on pediatric hospital medicine, with a particular interest in resident education and mentorship.</p><p>In 2006, Dr. McNamara received her Bachelor of Science at James Madison University. She pursued her medical education at New York Medical College, earning her Doctor of Medicine in 2010. She then came to CHAM for her postgraduate training, completing her pediatric residency in 2013.</p><p>Dr. McNamara&rsquo;s research focuses on improving the patient experience. She is a co-investigator in a grant funded project investigating communication with hospitalized patients with limited English proficiency, and her body of research includes quality improvement research studies focused on improving inpatient pediatric comfort and decreasing painful experiences. She has shared her work through peer-reviewed journals, abstracts, poster presentations and platform presentations.</p><p>Dr. McNamara is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2023, Dr. McNamara was inducted into the Leo M. Davidoff Society.</p>

<p>Rishi Malhotra, MD, is Director of Neurocritical Care, Director of the Neuroscience ICU and Director of the Neurocritical Care Fellowship, as well as Associate Professor of Neurology, Medicine and Neurological Surgery at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Malhotra&rsquo;s clinical focus includes the critical care management of subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, acute spinal cord injury, ischemic stroke, status epilepticus, brain tumors, neuromuscular respiratory failure and central nervous system infections.</p><p>A graduate of the combined BA/MD program at Brooklyn College, Dr. Malhotra completed his Doctor of Medicine with State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center in 2004. After completing his internal medicine internship at St. Luke&rsquo;s-Roosevelt Hospital in 2005, Dr. Malhotra completed his three-year neurology residency at Columbia University Medical Center in 2008. He then pursued a neurocritical care fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center, which he completed in 2010.</p><p>Dr. Malhotra&rsquo;s scholarly interests include intracerebral hemorrhage, hypoxic-ischemic brain injury and status epilepticus. <p>Dr. Levy, Director of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology at The Children&rsquo;s Hospital at Montefiore, was the principal investigator for the Children&rsquo;s Oncology Group, the nation's largest consortium of childhood cancer researchers, and currently leads an international clinical trial for children with recurrent brain tumors. Dr. Levy&rsquo;s clinical interests focus on brain tumors, particularly new drugs and treatment plans for children with brain tumors.</p>
<p>As Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Levy also has a strong interest in medical education. He is director of the pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship training program, and he is chair of the Committee on Graduate Medical Education.</p>
<p>After graduating from Cornell University, Dr. Levy received his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. He was a Chief Resident in Pediatrics at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he received the Department of Pediatrics Resident Clinician-Teacher Award. He then completed his fellowship and was Chief Fellow in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he received the Charles Trobman Memorial Award.&nbsp; He was nominated Attending Physician of the Year in Pediatrics at NYU Medical Center before joining Montefiore and Einstein. <p>Adam Levy, MD, is a Clinical Professor who works per diem at Montefiore Einstein in the trainee&rsquo;s clinic. He specializes in general pediatric hematology and oncology, with a focus on tumors of the brain and spine, solid tumors and tumors associated with neurofibromatosis.</p><p>After receiving his Bachelor of Science at Cornell University, Dr. Levy earned his Doctor of Medicine at New York University School of Medicine. Following this, he completed training in pediatrics at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York and became Chief Resident. Dr. Levy then completed a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering and New York Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he served as Chief Fellow.</p><p>Dr. Levy&rsquo;s early research training in a transitional science laboratory focused on mechanisms and pathways explaining tumor cell chemotherapy resistance. As a clinical investigator, his current research focuses on using new drugs and treatment plans for pediatric cancer patients. He has been an invited presenter on these topics nationally.</p><p>Dr. Levy is a member of the Society for Pediatric Research, and his efforts have been recognized numerous times as a New York Magazine Top Doctor. Biography

<p>Andrew Joshua Kobets, MD, is Attending Physician at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Kobets specializes in pediatric neurological surgery with a focus on minimally invasive tumor resection, neuro-endoscopy for hydrocephalus, craniofacial reconstruction, Chiari malformation surgery, tethered cord syndrome repair, and pediatric cranial trauma management.</p><p>In 2005, Dr. Kobets received his Bachelor of Arts in systems neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University. From 2007 to 2012, he attended Yale University. During this time, he received his Master of Health Sciences and Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Kobets began his postgraduate training in 2012 at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and continued to train there until 2019. He began with a year-long internship in neurological surgery. He then completed a 6-year residency in neurological surgery, becoming Chief Resident in the final year. In 2019, Dr. Kobets began a year-long fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.</p><p>Dr. Kobets&rsquo; research aims to develop a model of hydrocephalus secondary to intraventricular hemorrhage to trial the use of cutting-edge therapies to prevent life-long shunt dependence in children with hydrocephalus. His work has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals, books and abstracts, and has been presented internationally at invited presentations.</p><p>The Norma Bailey Berniker Prize was given to Dr. Kobets by the Yale School of Medicine in 2012. In 2018, Dr. Kobets received the Fred Epstein Award from the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery. The following year, he received the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Outstanding Medical Student Education.</p><p>Dr. Kobets is a member of numerous professional societies, including the AANS/CNS Section on Pediatric Neurological Surgery, the American Academy of Neurological Surgery, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the International Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery. </p>
