<p>Erin Ohmann, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor of Urology at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus is general urology with a special interest in endourology and male and female voiding dysfunction. She specializes in treating conditions such as benign prostatic hypertrophy, urinary retention, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, kidney stones, bladder stones, bladder cancer and prostate cancer.</p><p>After graduating from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree, she received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. While in medical school, she participated in the Doris Duke Clinical Research Program and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research. Dr. Ohmann then completed surgical internship and urology residency at New York University Langone Medical Center.</p><p>Dr. Ohmann is a frequent contributor to medical publications and abstracts in the area of benign urology, and her work has been published in several peer-reviewed publications.</p><p>Dr. Ohmann is board certified in urology and is a fellow of the Jewish Healthcare Foundation Patient Safety. She is a member of the American Urological Association and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She has received numerous awards and honors for her work.</p>
Amanda C. North
<p>Amanda North graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. in Religion and a certificate in Latin American Studies. She went on to medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she was elected AOA and awarded the Montefiore Staff and Alumni Award at graduation.</p>
<p>She went on to complete a residency in Urology at Montefiore Medical Center. She spent 2 years in Baltimore completing a fellowship in Pediatric Urology was at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has been an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Urology at Montefiore Medical Center for the past 5 years. Her professional interests include general pediatric urology with on focus on perinatal issues in urology, including prenatal consultations.<br /><br /></p>

<p>Amanda C. North, MD, Professor of Urology, is an expert in Pediatric Urology who specializes in the care and treatment of children with complex voiding problems and congenital anomalies of the urinary tract. Dr. North earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha); she subsequently trained in General Surgery and Urology in the Einstein/Montefiore program . Dr. North completed fellowship training in Pediatric Urology at Johns Hopkins University and joined the faculty of The Department of Urology at Montefiore in 2007.</p><p>Dr. North is the recipient of the Montefiore Staff and Alumni Association Award. Dr. North is a member of the American Urological Association and Society for Pediatric Urology. Dr. North is fluent in Spanish.</p>

Dr. Norris's research focus is on primary palliative care education and family decision making regarding medical technology.
<p>Sarah Evans Norris, MD, MEd, is Director of the Quality in Life Team and Director of Pediatric Palliative Care at Children?s Hospital at Montefiore. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and of Neurology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. </p><p>Dr. Norris earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Loyola University Chicago in 1993 receiving the Gladys Kinnery Clinical Excellence award. As a nurse she worked around the globe including as a Peace Corps volunteer in Morocco before pursuing medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. She completed the Fifth Pathway Program through New York Medical College and embarked on her pediatrics internship at the University of Medicine & Dentistry New Jersey. She finished her residency at the Medical College of Georgia where she was named Resident of the Year. Following residency she completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine and a masters in medical education at Cincinnati Children?s Medical Center. After several years in practice she returned to Cincinnati Children?s to complete a second fellowship in hospice and palliative medicine. Dr. Norris is Board Certified in General Pediatrics and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.</p> <p>Dr. Norris? research focus is on primary palliative care education and family decision making regarding medical technology. She has given numerous presentations nationally and has a wide range of teaching experience with both adults and children internationally. In 2018 she received the Lewis Fraad Excellence in Resident Teaching Award. When she is not at CHAM you can find her running.</p>
Sheri L. Nemerofsky
<p>Sheri L. Nemerofsky, MD, FAAP, is Director, Newborn Services and Associate Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Nemerofsky’s clinical focus centers on newborn care and respiratory and nutritional needs.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Muhlenberg College in 1994, Dr. Nemerofsky earned her Doctor of Medicine at the American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten in 1999. She was a pediatric dermatology research associate at the University of Miami until 2000, before completing her pediatrics internship at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in 2001. Dr. Nemerofsky remained at this institution to complete her pediatrics residency in 2003. Following this, she completed a neonatal-perinatal fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in 2006.</p><p>Dr. Nemerofsky’s research focuses on quality improvement, safety and healthcare disparities. She has shared her work through numerous national and international presentations and peer- reviewed publications. Dr. Nemerofsky is also a reviewer for the <em>American Journal of Perinatology</em>, the <em>American Journal of Preventive Medicine</em>, the <em>Journal of Perinatology and Pediatrics</em>.</p><p>Dr. Nemerofsky is board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Academic Pediatric Association, the Society for Pediatric Research and the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee of Coding and Nomenclature. In 2023, Dr. Nemerofsky won the Award for Outstanding Poster Presentation from Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, and Second Place Abstract Presentation at the 2023 Montefiore Wakefield Interprofessional Research and Quality Improvement Symposium.</p>

Her research examines many topics, ranging from nuclear therapy of breast cancer to methods of body scanning.</span><quillbot-extension-portal></quillbot-extension-portal>
<p>Renee M. Moadel, MD, MSc, is an Attending Physician in the Department of Radiology and an Assistant Professor of Nuclear Medicine and Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Michael Miksa
Pediatric critical care
<p>Physician-Scientist, Michael Miksa, MD, PhD received his medical degree from the Free University of Berlin in Germany and his academic degree magna cum laude from The Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He completed his pediatric residency training at State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate, a critical care fellowship at Yale and had worked in the pediatric emergency department for the Boston Children’s Hospital.</p><p>Dr. Miksa presented his work at several meetings both nationally and abroad and is Site Investigator for NEAR4KIDS, a multi-center quality improvement study to limit adverse events during intubations.</p>
