Writing Internship Application

Dear Applicant:

You will have a half-hour (30 minutes) to complete this application form. Before you get started, please make sure you have the following handy, since you will need them to complete the application form.

  • Name/contact information for your mentor, including phone, e-mail and location
  • Your education information
  • Information regarding your experience and interests, particularly relevant writing experience (up to 100 words)
  • Personal statement explaining your interest in the writing internship (up to 200 words)
  • A writing sample, in lay language (not scientific writing)

Graduate students: Please also be aware that, if accepted to the internship, you will need to complete and submit a Request for Co-curricular Activity Form to the graduate office before you can begin your internship
