Scientific Cores The Rose F. Kennedy Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center supports four highly integrated and interactive scientific cores that, in concert, allow basic and clinical scientists to pursue studies involving a wide range of research focused on intellectual disability. The cores, whose efforts are coordinated by the IDDRC Administrative Core (A), include Human Clinical Phenotyping (B), Neurogenomics (C), Neural Cell Engineering and Imaging (D), and Animal Phenotyping (E). The Cores provide highly sophisticated research assistance to individual projects hosted by the labs and clinics of IDDRC members as well to the IDDRC’s own central research project focused on intellectual disability analysis in the clinical syndrome known 22q11.2DS (DiGeorge syndrome/velo-cardio-facial syndrome).
