Dr. Koehler specializes in the treatment of birth brachial plexus injuries, congenital hand disorders and the complete spectrum of pediatric upper limb care. He is a recognized expert in the field of complex upper extremity reconstruction and regularly lectures and teaches nationally and internationally on this topic. He is active in clinical research, with over 100 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Koehler is board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, with an additional subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Association for Hand Surgery, chairing and serving on multiple committees.
