<p>Mark A. Menegus, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is Director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Montefiore’s Einstein campus and Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Since joining Montefiore, his focus has been interventional and clinical cardiology, interventional management of acute myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndromes, outpatient consultative cardiology and training general and interventional cardiology fellows.</p><p>In 1977, Dr. Menegus received his Bachelor of Arts in Biological Science/Physiology from Rutgers University. He then attended Rutgers Medical School, where he received his Doctor of Medicine in 1981. From 1981 to 1987, Dr. Menegus completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at Montefiore, also serving as an Assistant Firm Leader in the Deparment of Medicine.</p><p>Dr. Menegus has been the Principal Investigator for many research projects, including the NIH-sponsored Myocardial Infarction and Transfusion trial, the SHOCK trial, and the PHRI-sponsored COMPLETE trial. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals, books and abstracts and has been presented nationally.</p><p>He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Intervention and the American Heart Association. Dr. Menegus has been listed in Castle Connolly Medical as a New York Metro Area Top Doctor from 2001 to 2019. </p>

<p>Rishi Malhotra, MD, is Director of Neurocritical Care, Director of the Neuroscience ICU and Director of the Neurocritical Care Fellowship, as well as Associate Professor of Neurology, Medicine and Neurological Surgery at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Malhotra’s clinical focus includes the critical care management of subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, acute spinal cord injury, ischemic stroke, status epilepticus, brain tumors, neuromuscular respiratory failure and central nervous system infections.</p><p>A graduate of the combined BA/MD program at Brooklyn College, Dr. Malhotra completed his Doctor of Medicine with State University of New York - Downstate Medical Center in 2004. After completing his internal medicine internship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in 2005, Dr. Malhotra completed his three-year neurology residency at Columbia University Medical Center in 2008. He then pursued a neurocritical care fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center, which he completed in 2010.</p><p>Dr. Malhotra’s scholarly interests include intracerebral hemorrhage, hypoxic-ischemic brain injury and status epilepticus. He has shared his work through peer-reviewed journals, books, abstracts and poster presentations.</p><p>Dr. Malhotra is board certified in Neurology and Neurocritical Care. He is a member of the Neurocritical Care Society.</p>

<p>Richard Lucariello, MD, is Clinical Director, Non-Invasive Cardiology at the Wakefield Campus of Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His clinical interests include clinical cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.</p><p>Dr. Lucariello earned his Bachelor of Science in biology at Fordham University in 1979, followed by his Doctor of Medicine at New York Medical College in 1984. He began his postdoctoral training at Westchester County Medical Center, completing a medicine internship in 1985 and a two-year medicine residency in 1987. He then completed a cardiology fellowship at St. Vincent’s Hospital & Medical Center in 1989 before returning to Westchester County Medical Center to complete a nuclear cardiology fellowship in 1990.</p><p>Following his clinical interests, Dr. Lucariello’s research focuses primarily on echocardiography. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and abstracts.</p><p>Dr. Lucariello is actively involved in educating medical residents and cardiology fellows at the Wakefield campus, and was awarded the Program Director’s Training Award for Cardiology for the 2011–2012 academic year. He is board certified and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.</p>

<p>Franklin C. Lowe, MD, Professor of Urology and Vice-Chair of the Department, is also Director of Urologic Services, Jack D. Weiler Hospital. An expert in the treatment of benign and malignant disorders of the prostate, Dr. Lowe has published over 150 articles on multiple urological topics and has lectured extensively throughout the world. Prior to joining The Department of Urology at Montefiore, Dr. Lowe held faculty and leadership positions at Columbia University, Mount Sinai School of Medicine and at St. Luke’s/ Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan. A Graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Lowe obtained both his Medical and Masters of Public Health degrees from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his internship and residency in Surgery and Urology at The James Buchanan Brady Urological Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Lowe previously served as the Chairman of The American Urological Association’s Alternative Medicine Committee and as a member of the BPH Guidelines Committee.</p>
