<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0in; font-size: medium; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Dr. Khalid is an associate professor of medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. She is board-certified in both internal medicine and addiction medicine. Dr. Khalid&rsquo;s interests lie in the judicious use of long-term opioid therapy and treatment of substance use disorders. She has developed and co-leads an innovative teaching clinic embedded in primary care where&nbsp;residents get an experiential medical education in long-term opioid therapy and patients receive guideline-adherent care. She is an eConsultant for opioid management of ambulatory patients at Montefiore. As a buprenorphine site champion, she supervises integration of treatment of opioid use within primary care. She is also a member of several working groups to improve treatment of substance use disorders in the inpatient setting at Montefiore.</p>

<p>Carol B. Kelly, MD, is an attending internal medicine physician and Assistant Professor, Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical focus centers on teaching the next generation of internal medicine residents how to be skilled and compassionate primary care physicians.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in biology from Brown University in 1976, Dr. Kelly completed her Doctor of Medicine at the same institution in 1979. She then completed an internship at Duke University in 1980, followed by her internal medicine residency in 1982.</p><p>Dr. Kelly&rsquo;s research aligns with her clinical interests and focuses on teaching about advance directives and discussing goals of care with patients.</p><p>Dr. Kelly is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, and she is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. In 2019, she won the Leo M. Davidoff Education Award for Outstanding Teaching for Medical Students. In 2021, Dr. Kelly won the Montefiore Einstein Department of Medicine Award for selfless, courageous, and exemplary contributions to patient care during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in 2022 she won the Sharon Silbiger Faculty Teaching Award for Outstanding General Internist/Primary Care Physician chosen by Montefiore internal medicine residents.</p>

<p>Dr. Kajita completed a bachelor's degree at Barnard College, Columbia University, a medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and a primary care medicine residency at NYU School of Medicine. Following residency she became an attending physician for the Department of Veterans' Affairs, New York Harbor Healthcare, where she also served as firm chief for the Department of Medicine and associate program director for the Internal Medicine Residency. Biography

<p>Shwetha Iyer, MD, is Program Director, Primary Care/Social Internal Medicine Program and Associate Professor, Medicine and Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. Her clinical interests include obesity medicine, lifestyle medicine and coaching patients toward their health goals.</p><p>After obtaining her Bachelor of Science in public health from Rutgers University in 2004, Dr. Iyer earned her Doctor of Medicine at Temple University in 2008. She then came to Einstein to complete her internship and residency in the Primary Care/Social Internal Medicine Program in 2011 and a faculty fellowship in global health and clinical skills in 2014.</p><p>Dr. Iyer&rsquo;s research is focused on the development and evaluation of medical education, lifestyle interventions and structural competency. Her work has been published in numerous original communications in peer-reviewed journals as well as books, chapters and review articles. Dr. Iyer has given national and international invited presentations and has been Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator on several funded research projects.</p><p>Dr. Iyer is board certified in Internal Medicine by the National Board of Medical Examiners and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. She is a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine and the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine. In 2022, Dr. Iyer won the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Excellence in the Education of Medical Students.</p>

<p>Marleine Ishak, MD, is an attending physician, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and Assistant Professor, Pediatrics at Montefiore Einstein. Dr Ishak brings unique specialized medical skills, experience and commitment to the care of your child with respiratory disease. She has a particular interest in pediatric asthma and bronchopulmonary dysplasia.</p>

<p>In 2005, Dr. Ishak received her medical degree from the Lebanese University Faculty of Medical Sciences in Beirut, Lebanon. After completing her pediatric residency in 2008 at Saint George Hospital/Balamand in Beirut, she came to the United States and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at Yale Children’s Hospital in 2011 and her residency in pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital (CHONY) in 2013.</p>

<p>Dr. Ishak’s research focuses on hypoxia. She has shared her work through publication in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and national presentations.</p>

<p>Dr. Ishak is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.</p>
